    Angry I reallly fu(%ed up

ok, just to give you some background. on my second cycle, started w/ dbol 30mg day deca 300 week test e 400 week. done with d bol into cycle about 6 weeks. strngth adn weight up nicely. went into gym today to squat. wrmed up, stretched everything that you should do. i put 405 on which i rep easily. the very first rep i hear a pop in my upper left quad and it actually feels like my muscles disconnect from eachother. the person who was spottin said he heard it as well. so i racked it adn then tried squattin my own body weight and my left leg cannot support ANY weight when my knee is bent. my question is, does this sound like a rip or tear for sure, has anyone experienced the same thing. also how long does it take a muslce to recover from somthing like this?

My guess is a rip! Sorry to hear that bro, however I can't help yo on the recovery time since I've never experienced that.
But I feel your pain, loosing gains just sucks (I had a hernia surgery last year and was out of the gym for a complete month and then I only started with light weights)
    Good luck!

sounds like an acl tendon injury to me. that makes a pop sound when it goes. you should get it checked out as it may need surgery. the good news is It's a fairly common injury and the surgery isn't complicated

I'm no doc and I can't see your leg, but I'm about 90% sure you just tore your ACL as I had the exact same situation occur a few years back. It sux to hear for you. I do HIGHLY recommend going to the doctor. If you don't, it'll only get worse.

    Good luck bro!

no one commented on his warm up.. which is the MOST CRUCIAL part of liting.. odd.. anyways GOING TO A DOC is the ONLY THING you should have on ur mind, but from what im seeing you seem to really be out there... no offense but anyone w/ a shred of common sense would be like OH its ****d..
either A: its time to take some time off and do theraputic excercises or B: oh shit i kant even walk i need to go to doc and have SURGEREORY.

anyways we reap wat we sow...not trying to be harsh but i hate seeing people neglect warming up.. shows complete ignorance.

I was just getting ready to ask you where you felt the pain. With ACL, you'll mostly feel it in you knee and shin area. Not sure would it could be just below the hip. Either way, good luck and try to take it easy.

p.s. I guess I'm the only one that read where you stated that you DID warm up. I don't care how much one warms up, injuries can still occur

He said upper left quad. If I have read this correctly, he doesn't mean anywhere near the knee (ACL). Usualy an ACL pops from a direct impact to the knee area from the side, or from hard direction changes like cutting in football.
My question is, what part of the upper leg did you hurt? The medial side or lateral side? (groin side or outside)

Yea i don't think its an ACL tear. That's the sound a muscle makes when it starts to tear from the musculotendinous junction or from the bone. If you are not in Pain just ice it. The Doc won't be able to do anything for the first 48 hours... he'll tell you to ice it. after the inflammation dies you can let it heal or get further checked. If it hurts BAD, like really bad... you've torn something completely.

ICE 20 mins on, 1 hour off. good luck

no it would'ent be ACL (which prevents anterior sliding on the knee joint) . the pop might indicate a dislocation of some sort , i would even think the head of the femur out of the hip (u said pop came from upper quad). makes sense since you can probably walk on it (normally hip joint is in a stable position when upright) (and unstable or reliant on muscle tendon, ligamentous structures to stabilise when squating)
