    Steroids for the medically altered

Hey - I'm a 23 year old with Marfan's Syndrome. It's a genetic disorder that disrupts the production of connective tissue in the body. Since connective tissue has a lot to do with body shape, I'm very very tall, and very very skinny.

I was looking for something to increase my body weight. The doctors have been trying different diets for decades now, and I'd love to be able to put on some mass using chemicals.

Have you heard about steroid use to combat extreme under-weightness? Is this something people do? Do you think I could get a prescription?

You might be able to get a script for it, but im not a doc. Secondly, diet will make you grow and steroids will only assist in the growing process. On top of that, you have to work out quite frequently (at least 3 days a week) in order to see results from steroids. popping a pill, or injecting a chemical will not make you grow. Remember, steroids are not miracle drugs, they are enhancement drugs. You still have to work and eat your ass off.

I would think this question would be better asked to your doctors and/or an endocronologist that is familiar with Marfan's Syndrome.

This is really serious man.. get it checked from ur doctor, dont play with your life.. I highly doubt steroids are for u since ur blood vessels are at a much greater risk of rupturing anyway. Go see a doc b4 cycling...

I'm also not a doc. But I've read that Oxandrolone is a "safe" steroid, also used for aids patients to get some weight gain.
At a dosage of 30mg per day, you are still "safe", and you will gain on it.
and he, I guess for you 3 or 4 kilo's would already be a great step foreward.

And...... EAT EAT EAT, 6 to 8 meals per day

ignore what fhorst said. The fact that it is used for aids patients is a completely diffrent situation. Having your condition u should consult a doc who is familiar with ur case and the syndrome and try to get an honest answer from him weather u can do or not.. preferrably with explanation too.

    please don't ignore it all...

Especially the part about EAT EAT EAT.

For the rest I agree, you should consult with your doc about it.

and if anything would be possible, oxandrolone is your best bet, as it is supposed to be the "safest" steroid arround.
HGH is also an option, but expensive

Before you pop pills or shoot, consult with your docter, or you might get into big troubles
