Bro do a search. I've read women can have complications from var, such as endomitrosous

eightball - if you post down on the women's board and also do some searching on women/var/winny you will find some of the threads discussing this.
My couple of comments:
First, its great that you are doing some research for your g/f because we are de****g w/ controlled substances that happened to be male hormones in a female body. But the best thing you can do is tell your g/f that SHE needs to do the research -- her decision, her body, her results, her sides. She NEEDS to be responsible in her decision to pursue this, being well informed on the expected results, sides, preventatives and also completely subject to an already well-established diet and training regimen. If she has any expectations that AAS is just a quicky way to "lean out & tone up", then its all wrong.
Quick summary - clen is overrated and frankly annoying to take. Var is the safest & least sides of all the AAS that women might choose to take. Winny is really a crapshoot - some women absolutely love it. Most don't like it -- its very harsh and also a 17aa steroid --- sides include hairloss, acne, oily skin, scratchy throat leading to lowering of the voice. Also on any AAS expect an interruption in her menstrual cycle for a while. Many girls will experience a "flu" feeling about 1 1/2 weeks into a cycle. Winny is called the "snakebite" drug -- it either is good or bad. And bad is really suckass. I don't recommend it. Further I don't recommend that she even consider stacking multiple AAS if she's completely new to cycling.
And finally and absolutely MOST important --what does her current diet & training look like? If she isn't already following a spot-on diet (not a "good diet and I don't eat candy") - I mean spot-on -- a diet that is optimized and producing results already. And training -- I mean lifts like a muthfugga already and has for at least a year. What is her current bodyfat and expectations of the cycle? AAS really shouldn't be used as a "fat burner" -- these are still malel hormones. If her bodyfat is higher than say 13-14% I'd strongly recommend revisiting her diet first to get to a lower bodyfat level if she's expecting the AAS to "cut up".
Anyway - not knowing more than you've posted, I've given all my best recommendations and caveats. When women hear about AAS from guys, they tend to think its a quick way to "lean out" and forget that there are no shortcuts. If the diet & trainign are not well-established & pursued consistently & regularly, the AAS will probably just make you fatter, bigger & not really get what you thought it would.
Even aside from the AAS question, I'd suggest that your g/f post up on teh women's board herself just to see about optimizign diet & training which can probably get her the results she's looking for w/o going to the male hormones.hard work = hard bod
