Something that seems rather simple but I was surprised howmuch it helped. Was IcyHot. I did my first shot in my quad ever and i could barely walk. It still hurts but I can actually perfom typical daily human functions.

I find massaging the site pre and post injection helps. Massaging for 2-3 minutes post injection to help spread and disperse the oil, I find is essential. I also find showering after the injection and holding a warm shower head on the injection site greatly helps, for 2-3 minutes again. Other tips are to warm the oil and work the muscle you've injected afterwards.
i don't understand how so many people have tremendous pain following quad shots to the point where they can't walk. Just did my first quad shot yesterday and feel great. If i wanted i could of likely hit legs today up at the gym, and chances are i will tomorrow. I just can't figure out the reasoning behind this why some people are getting so sore? Like swifto said did you massage the area after injecting? I took a shower before hand too to relax my muscles as alot of guys do and it seemed to really come me down and relax and tension i'd had with my muscles. I think massaging the site is key though like swifto said.
yeh def. if you dunt rub it in it wont spread. can knot up and that can hurt...
it depends on the gear too.. some gear does nothing to me while others really make it hard to even move.Originally Posted by motoxer23
ya very good point, i'm using Schering so very high quality shit, and i actually figured before i started my cycle that injections would likely be alot less painful as opposed to someone using UGL gear or homebrewsOriginally Posted by stupidhippo
I rub like a mofo and I get sore but its my first cycle. so that could be it
Schering Enan or Primo?Originally Posted by motoxer23
You're one of the lucky ones. I had great difficulty with my batch of gear, but quads were unbearable. I'm convinced that the severe pain and "reactions" is from some degree of gear-crashing out of solutuion in the muscle. This could be concentration specific, since the higher the concentration, the more easily it will crystalize in the vial, or BA too low. Sure there's a lot of variability amongst different brands, also. Oh well, I'll try it again with next batch.Originally Posted by motoxer23

Heating pad
Depends on your gear and your personal reaction to BA. Also how steady you are with the needle, how slowly you inject, etc. I have no problems with teste that has 2% BA, also helps when I mix in some EQ.
Hot tubs are great for soreness.
You think the better the company, the less pain? The only test ive ever used has been made by Galenika. Since my first cycle, ive only had like 2 shots that I was sore as all hell. I guess it could be the manufacturer. Itd be interesting to know. Thats prolly one of the biggest reasons I dont switch brands.
Obviously massaging and heat help.
I used my muscle stim (TENS) machine on my quads the first week of quad shots and it helped immensly. I had very little pain or soreness. I did two 15-minute sessions on my quads at a low intensity the same day as the injections and it seemed to help.

give your amps/vials a 3 minute warm water bath. I usually just run hot tap water for a while, take a small styrofoam cup and put just enough hot water in there to make the vial or amp not float. let it sit, wipe the stopper with an alcohol swab and go and draw it up.
amps will float in hot water, but vials will sink so water level must be right like heavyrotaion said.
tell us how those quads feel in 4 more weeks after continuing to inject there!Originally Posted by motoxer23
yeah don't let the needle get tap water on it or you could end up with an infection.Originally Posted by heavyrotation92
No offense, but some ppl have a greater tolerance to pain ect.Not everyone rushes to the ER when they get a hang nail or post a thread when they have injection soreness.Originally Posted by Lavinco

This is very true, but what I think he meant is that after so long in one inj. site, it will tend to get a little sore after awhile..Originally Posted by Pinnacle

I did curls this morning and by bis are sore. I think they might be infected. Should I get life-flighted to the hospital?
On a serious note, I think he hit the nail on the head with the pain-tolerance comment.
Infections and hitting veins are rare, and anyone who did their homework before sticking themself should have been extra cautious with sterilization, so the chances that you got an infection on your first stick is very unlikely if you followed procedure.
