    inject question

OK, a friend of mine, speaking from his experience, suggested trying 25 ga 5/8" needles for injecting. He claims to use them with no pain and easier to hold steady. We are both pretty lean. My glutes have little fat. Anyway I started this week and did 1.25ml of TPP / NPP blend in my left glute. Well - its still sore as hell and has a small knot. Right glute - shot wed. not as bad but sore. I figured the needle was too short and ordered some 1.5" @ 25 ga for the glute. My question - I'm due for another and wanted to use the 5/8" for a quad inject. What do you think? I def. gonna wait for the 1.5 before attempting another glute, plus my a** needs time to recover! No fever, maybe a small amounty of noticable redness on the left side, not hot to the touch. I follow very sanitary procedures. Any experience would be appreciated. Thanks!

5/8 is too short for the glute. use the 1 1/2 and go almost all the way in, leave a little extra. i use 1" on everything else; quads, delts, pecs.

Yea - I've always used 1.5" before. What about a 5/8" in the delt? I thought I'd do that until my 1.5" gets here

I wouldn't even use 5/8 in a quad. Delt, you should be ok with 5/8 and a small amount of juice, so use all your 5/8 on delts and then get some 1" if you want to do quads.

If you absolutely don't want to get 1" pins, you can use your 1.5"s on delts, but you have to be careful to only go about 1" deep.

1.5" for glutes without a doubt (you know that by now anyways)

Remember, a muscle is like a sponge. THe closer to the center of the muscle you inject, the better it will soak up the juice.
