Concerned User (Health problems originating)
I just had a few questions, and was hoping someone a bit more knowledgable could comment on them.
About 3 weeks ago I started taking my second cycle ever (I did my 1st about 8 months ago). Currently I am on Test Prop (taking 100mg every other day) and stacking that with Anavar (taking 30mg each day). My body weight is 233 and I am very active and in shape. However, about 2 weeks into my cycle I started feeling chest pains, having dizzy spells, am having trouble catching my breath, and sometimes feel tingling in my hands at night. As a result I checked my BP and it was 139/96 and my heart rate was 65. My normal BP was never that high before. Should this be something to be alarmed about? I know steroids can increase the risk of high blood pressure as well as lead to Congestive Heart Failure, but maybe I am overreacting. I would like to finish my cycle but do not want to suffer severe lifelong consequence or possibly death ( I am only 21).
Should I stop immediately or just ingnore it? all comments will help

For a healthy 21 year old, your BP does seem too high. Chest pains alone aren't necessarily something to be alarmed about, unless they are extreme. But when combined with dizzy spells, shortness of breath and tingling in your extremities this is not a good thing. Go get checked out by your doctor for sure.

I had the same thing (less the chest pains) from a sus cyle, and I was using relatively low MG (<500mg/week). I was most concerned about the tingling, dumb feeling in my extremeties. I rode it out and am ok now.
In my case, I believe it is was caused by a relatively High BP and mild water retention. Are you using any Anti E's?
Also, are you using any stimulants? Ephedra, caffeine, clen , etc.......these can be contributing factors.

the gear can definetly be the reason why ur BP is that high. U r not going to die because of it but I would keep a close eye on it. Losing fat can really help with BP.. I was 280 lbs and my BP was like 125/80 and now its 110/70 (im a lil under 260). but the BP dropped after I was off the gear.. now it raises a lil whne on but it stays a li llower than before (the same diffrence about that is seen with the off cycle BP)

i think the bp is too high for a young guy(especially the 2nd one at 96 thats too high)the gear prob has little to do with it.....i would look at diet and stimulents as the major cause.

What the hell are you guys talking about BP too high...that is nothing on cycle. You are absolutely OK, just watch sodium and keep an eye on it. It will drop as soon as you go off cycle. The rest may just be anxiety.

he said that it wasnt that high b4 gear... and gear does raise BP (with a lot of ppl atleast).... the diastolic is too high but its nothing that he should get scared about.. look into it.. if he doesnt get it under control then consult a doc and maybe start meds but at that stage they wouldnt start them anyway..

chest pains, could be digestive problems.
try to eliminate sodium intake, keeps bloat down too... and monitor the more u know about yourself the more confident u'll be going forward with the cycle.

You're pretty close to hypertension 1. Although you can expect an increase in blood pressure while on steroids , I don't think you should take those warning signs lightly. Don't let other doctors or friends tell you that there is "probably" nothing wrong with you. If you feel something is wrong, get checked out. Go see a cardiologist. Don't go see average JOE doctor who is going to tell you that you are young and in shape and that he sees no reason why you should worry. I've had that happen before and it was a mistake.
