Question For Maxima5

This is probably in the wrong forum, but I need to get a hold of Maxima5. Hopefully you read this, and if you do, I'd appreciate it if you could help me design a program which is going to work. I think my problem is the freedom I've been given to design my own program, which is why I constantly change it to find something that "works" for me. Nothing I've created has worked for me.
