Im going to be shooting in my glute tonight, but I dont know if I will be able to do it by myself. For anyone who does do them by yourself how do you do them? Do you do them laying down some of my friends said they did them that way.

Never did 'em laying down, I'll have to give that a shot...lol. I do 'em standing and twisting to the side I'm gonna shoot.

yup.. same here..Im right handed, so I will twist to see my right glute while keeping my legs either straight, or to the left slightly....I have no probs shooting the glutes. they are the best inj site if you ask me..It is a bit harder for me to do the left glute though, so i usually get the 'ol lady to poke me...

Yeah bro,
Just lean against the sink or something, to take the weight off of the leg on the side you are injecting, and it is easy to see the injection site when you twist to that side... glutes are a breeze. personally, i have found that if you don't walk on that legg for like two minutes after the shot, there is no knotting. That's just me... Good luck!!!

if i shoot my glutes i use the wife.........she takes great pleasure in jaggin me.....im sure she finds the scar tissue on purpouse..............

Like all the bro's said mate, you should have no problem. If I'm injecting in the right glute, I like to put my right foot sort of on tiptoes and move it about a foot behind me - seems to relax the glut muscle more and makes it harder to tense up. Plus I do the injection in a mirror so it's easier to see where exactly your'e putting the pin

I agree, if you don;t use a mirror it's hard to judge exactly where you're sticking unless you're flexible enough to see what you're doing w/o a mirror.

If your standing the muscle is probably not totally relaxed so I always lay down..

Everyone is a little nervous there first time but giving yourself your own shots is the way to go imo. Like everyone said lean up against something and inject, make sure you wipe down the injection spot with some alcohol before you stick it in to prevent infection.

If I could see my ass, I'd do glutes more often.
I rotate them in, but i'm personally more comfortable with quads and delts. Easy to aspirate.

:TB, When you do shoot your glute , pull cheek to the side then stick needle in, when you pull out release cheek , this will keep you from bleeding or having a little juice come back out.

I think he means slide the skin over and keep it tight while injecting. This way, when your done, the skin slides back over and keeps the blood from leaking out of the hole in the skin. Works well once you learn to brace the pin and hold the skin with your left hand while aspirating and shooting with the right.

I dont do the left that often though.. the 'ol lady is practically shakin when she has to do it.. wuss...lol... she gets all nervous and stuff.. I usually end up grabbing it and jammin it in, then let her inject...guess it just isnt her gig, thats all...Exactly the same for me..

that's why i prefer quads. it's just sooooooo much easier. unless you have somebody else to do it for you.
