how many inches is good for shoulder inject?

i used about 1.25 inch needle and my shoulder winny shot. has been killing since friday, so 3 days i usually inject my butt. is this normal for this pain to last so long it is also red around the spot like a little circle .. should i just wait for the pain to go away or did i screw something up.

i use a 5/8 I would say 1" is the most you should ever need unless you have a lot of fat in the area

You can use a slightly longer pin just don't go all the way in.

Note, you should never bury the bin all the way no matter what size you're using. Not that this is frequent occurance but just imagine if the pin broke. It would be a hell of lot easier to grab a pair of tweezers and pull it out yourself then it would be to go to the doctor and explain why there is a 23g 1.5" pin embedded in your ass

honestly, i don't feel a thing. I push it all the way in to!

i use 23g 1 inch for all injections. glutes, delts , and quads. i have 5/8 but havent used them yet.

I use insulin syringe for delts, bis, tris. Push it in slowly. The pain willl go away in few days, dont worry. Have someone that knows human anatomy very well to avoid hitting a vein or something.
