Short or long cycle? pros cons

So was going to do a test, dbol ,var cycle starting in may run like this

    1-4 dbol 40mgs day
    1-10 test e 500mgs week
    4-10 var 60mgs a day

but now i'm kinda thinking about just staying on the whole summer. so like 16 weeks.. should i drop my dosage down to like 400mgs if i run it that long? I've never done longer then like 11 weeks so any help is awesome.

I like a shorter length higher dosage cycle because after 12 weeks I dont get anymore gains. But Jayhova is big on changing compounds halfway through a long cycle, so Im going to give that a try this winter.

I run 6 week cycles and love them. I really don't make much gains after 6 weeks so for me anything longer is a waste of gear. not only that, I stay off as long as I'm on, if I do a long run by the time I start again I'm back at ground zero. with the short runs I don't loose a thing.

Maybe i'll just make it 12 weeks and extend the Var through to pct.. so i'll do like 10 weeks of var from week 4-14 then start pct. and thoughts on this? if i start in may that'll take me all the way through to august. That should be good for the summer right? I just gotta have the will power to wait till may. I know in april i'm gonna say screw it and jump on 2 weeks early and make it 14 weeks haha.

I know a guy that says he pyrimids down and it helps him alot in pct like his last week he cuts the dosage in half... maybe i'll use those extra 2 weeks for this and see how it works for me.. like week 13 do 400mgs and week 14 do 250mgs.. then start pct 2 weeks later.

Personaly i wouldnt extend the cycle, it doesnt mean you will experience anymore gains, staying on longer than your body can grow will only cause more sides, concentrate on priming your body beforehand this will give you an advantage to fast muscle tissue gains straight from the start of the cycle and will benefit the results.

Marcus, I've heard you make reference to "priming the body" before cycles on a number of occasions and I think I'm right in saying its something to do with lowering calories to almost make the body hungry for growth but I've never read a comprehensive explanation of what this "priming" involves, if you have already posted this anywhere could you point me in the right direction to find it please me ol' mate?

    Cheers, NotSmall.

    is it your first cycle?

If not, then you are going to have to be the judge of what is going to work best for your body whether it be 10 weeks or 16 or whatever. I have heard a few people having worse sides in a cycle longer than 14 weeks, containing almost the same compounds as yours.

There are plenty of ways this process can be done, i think i will post a thread with all the details so people can check it out, i get alot of pm's concerning the prime,When this is done correctly you will not believe the muscle gains straight from the start of any cycle, here is a post i did last week might give you an idea what its about,

You diet down and lose fat, just like a comp diet or i prefer to cycle my carbs 3 low 1 high this will create a very anabolic emviroment for muscle tissue to grow, the muscle receptors get highly excitable and upgrade and able to accept more glucose and because glucose levels are not full in the muscle the result is more deposited into the muscle when you start the cycle and increase the food, this enviroment builds muscle tissue very quickley, if this is done correcty and timed right when you start the cycle, growth is amazing, i feel priming is a must when considering a short cycle of any kind.

i prefer cycling my carbs 3 days low(40% less than normal) 1 day high (15% higher than normal), i feel this is'nt to harsh on your muscle tissue and the 1 high carb day offsets any potential metobolic slowdown, which is extremely usefull in laying down metobolic boosting muscle or at least saving it. the high carb/low carb rotational diet upgrades the receptors cites on muscle tissue for insulin , this changes the bodys ability to store carbs as glycogen rather than fat.

The idea is to create an enviromnet for muscle tissue to grow very quickley, there are certain things what must be in place so no muscle tissue loss before the cycle but when its done correctly the gains are amazing, its a excellent tool to have on any cycle.

Depends on the individual really, i prefer to do it over a longer time than alot of BB's, but the normal is around 6-8 weeks.
