Thread: injected too shallow?

    injected too shallow?

If you injected too shallow in the glutes, is it a total waste of gear? What I’m asking, your body won’t absorb the gear in your system?? And if not should you redo the shot???

Sorry for a dumb question, but have to ask! thats the only way to learn.....

You want the shot in the Muscle. If your in the muscle then you should be good to go.. Chances are if you shot to shallow you will form an abcess.

Honestly, unless you intentionally tried to shoot subQ or had a small slin pin, it is pretty difficult to shoot to shallow.

My Doc gave me 1" pins, thats why I'm asking.... I just did it for the first time and it just didn't feel right "not that I know whats right"!

I used a 1/2" 30g pin today for my Winny injection and things went fine. Of course I'm 6.5% bf, so it doesn't take much to hit my glutes.

its not a dumb question, but for glutes you'd be better off w/ 1.5". save the 1's for delts and quads.

I'm on my first cycle of Test and both of my first and second pins of 1cc a week apart I get a huge red circle around the site with a nasty hard feverish lump within the second day. I've had an experienced user do both my shots and everything was sterile. I have about 18% body fat and they were 23g 1in needles. Is the test not getting in the muscle and getting trapped in the fat and raising to under the skin?!! Getting frustrated and annoyed with the pain. I hit nervous on the first pin 3 days later and started taking ammoxocyline antibiotics. Not sure if it was coincident but the swelling went down and all redness disappeared just left with a small knot. What am I doing wrong and should I be worried about the skeptical hype of an abscess forming in 2 days!!

Even if you didn't reach the muscle, the "gear" will not be a waste. It will just absorb at a slower rate.
