deca only cycle. Bad idea?

posted earlier today but didn't get much help. 5'11 200 pounds. workin out for 3 years. Just started a deca cycle because i was having trouble making any more size and strength gains. I actually should have done more research b4 starting but I got the stuff for free and my friend said he had great results on that alone followed by a cycle of anavar and then some Pct. Now that i read more and more, i notice that deca is a great base to stack with other steroids but is not usually used on it's own. So do I go out and get some sort of test to stack with it or could i just go through my cycle as is. Btw, i'm not looking for anything dramatic as far as size and strength but consistent gains. I have a bottle of superdrol, would that work? I'd love someone to tell me it's ok on it's own but better stacked, so i don't worry about limp weiner or something. Please give me some advice, thank you

Dont do deca alone, stack it with TEST enathate at 500mg/week at least. Deca alone will shut you right down, and your dick wont work!

Deca will not produce greate gains on its own, probaly because its only effective at binding to the AR, while in-effctive at the non-AR-meditaded mechanism.

You should stack it with some Testosterone, as little as 200mgs ew would help alot, with gains and libido.

my guy pretty much carries everything so what do u guys suggest to stack with my deca? nothing too hardcore or the least sides possible. He said hes got cypionate, is that an idea. I'd actually like something that will get me more shredded and hard rather than huge and bulky bcause i'm already pretty bulky.

Some people have run deca only cycles with good gains and no sexual sides, but I myself would not want to take the risk. I would add test at 100mgs higher than your deca dose and run it for one week longer than the deca.

Well being that test ALSO shuts you down I wish somebody would explain how adding test and deca together keeps you from getting shut down!

Simple answer.. IT DOESN'T!

Deca only you MAY get sex drive issues. To combat that seems simple enough... could run a LOW (replacement) dose of test, hcg, prov, or a combo (see what works best for you).

I've said it before myself... but the more I think about it I don't see how its a must to always run test and always run test higher than the deca.

With all that said, deca is a bulking compound. Unless there is some real reason a person doesn't want to run test, I'd always run test w/ deca.

it's ok to be shut down if there is test in your system. a deca only cycle will shut you down and since there is no other way to have test, you're screwed. if this is your first cycle save the deca for another run and do just test. you'll be much happier.

Yes test also shuts down your natural test production but your little buddy still works, this is not true for alot of bros with deca only. As you said throw some replacement test with it to combat this. I think when alot of bros say deca shuts them down they are not only speaking of their natural test production but also the sexual sides they experience. I guess they are using the term a little loosely.

Having low to no test in your body, whether it be natural or artificial, is not a good thing for males. You can find lots of studies on the effects of low test on a males physical and mental health.

Bottom line is that Deca-only will not promote much muscle-grow on its own. The shutdown of natrual Test will also take a way, a fair part of what gains deca will give you.
Its pretty pointless to kill your natty-test for something that will give "yust" a little results.

They are many compounds that would be better to run alone that deca. T-bol, var, primo would be far less supressive, and wont need to be stacked with Test IMO.

You will get diff answers here but most of them will be Test E, Test C or Test Prop. I myself like E or C because of the less frequent injections.

I would take it with test. i made the mistake of taking deca only 12 weeks and had no sex drive for 4months. I would tell you to keep reading around the board and take time to put together the right cycle.dont rush into it. Also make sure you have your pct before you start your cycle.

Agreed. Testosterone, natural or synthetic is the main hormone used for muscle building and gains. So why avoid using it? Many will argue that the sides from a testosterone arnt nice, but many of these can be reduced and prevented when taking the right precautions.
