Best OTC cold remedies to combat sust cold?

Can anybody input what cold remedies were their best ally to combating the sust cold? I need something that will take away the headache, very sore throat, and decongestant (I keep coughing up thickly yellow substances).
I was checking out the reviews of all different types of various cold medicines but there are just too damn many. Can some of you bros narrow it down to a select best few?
    Thank you

Doesnt sound like you have "sust cold". Looks to me like you have a upper respratory infection by your symptoms of yellowish flem and sore throat/head congestion. When i used to get them, the first anti-biotic my allergist prescribed was Biaxin 400mg twice ed. After about 2-1/2 yrs, the allergins in my body became resistant to the anti-biotic, so i was put on Avelox 1 tab ed. If i now get a flare up, this is what i take and use it for 10days even after the symptoms are gone. These are anti-biotics that are specific for treating upper respratory conditions that affect the sinus. Good amount of rest and keeping off the cardo will help until it is gone.

Thank you for the helpful reply....do you think I should take Avelox or Biaxin, or just let nature take it's course by sleeping, resting, and drinking a lot of water?
I heard that anti-biotics are anti-anabolic and am a bit wary of using them.
Also....can Sust be a cause of this upper respiratory infection?
    Thanks...

For your first question the allergist first gave me Biaxin. It is 400mg tablet and you take it twice a day. One in the am and the other pm. I took them with food, as it can make you alittle nausea if you don't. Then he had me take them for 10 days. If you have ever taken anit-biotics start with the Biaxin. This anti-biotic or Avelox will not hamper your gains and you will only be on it for 10 days. Good rest, sleep, and drinking plenty of fluids will help, but with what you are saying by your symptoms, it sounds like a upper respratory infection, so if you don't get on an anti-biotic it could linger for a month or more. So why put yourself thru the anguish, lol? What brand of sustanon are you using?? If it is hg, then it is prob not the sustanon, but if you are using Mexican or ug brand, if the ba is high or there are impurities, then yes it is very possible to get an infection from the aas. In fact if you use anti-biotic and continue to use dirty product, you could very well have a repeat episode. This is one reason i always go with hg for testosterone. Depends also what state you live. If you live in the upper mid-west almost every season is allergy season, so you have to take preventative measures and try to keep your immune system up. Drink plenty of OJ and Vit-C. I have found that taking Echinacea @ 400mg a day will help quite a bit in preventing flareups. It is a herb that can be bought at most any vitamin shop or grocery store.

I personally take Zicam Oral Spray at the first sign of any type of symptom. It works well and is homeopathic. On top of 1.5-2g daily of Vitamin C, plenty of liquids like Powerade and Pedialyte and a decent multi vitamin.
