    Liver Help

    Heyy

    I had my blood tested before I started my first steroid cycle.... I just got the resultsback it it came back of liver value 34.

    My doc said 23 is maximum for normal....

    How is this possible?

    Im taking protein shakes, i used creatine few times... and also mass cycle fron GNC ( 3 months ago)...would that make my liver value so high??

    Drinking alcohol, tylenol, there are all kinds of things that will elavate your liver values. Get checked for hepatitis, all three, A, B and C. If you have any of these conditions, DO NOT do any oral steroids.

    I am curious about how you got your blood tested pre cycle. Did you just schedule it and say you were curious? Or was there a legit reason? Or is your doc aware of preventative measure prior to gear?

    sorry to sidetrack but I have wondered how guys go about arranging blood tests for awhile now.

    u dont have to have a reason
    just go in to ur doc make an appoint and be like..
    i would like to get lab work done please
    if he questions you just be like i just like to stay ontop of my health..
    how hard is that?

    anyways did you take any OTC products that contain Acetaminophen such as theraflu or excedrine the day before? did you drink? or anything of that sort?

    I am going to assume that you are talking about the general chemistry "BUN" level.

    I just got mine checked and it was 24. My sheet says 20 is the highest.

    The higer levels are probably because of your high protien diet.
    High protien makes the kidneys and liver work harder and eventually causes stress on them.

    Make sure you cycle your high protien diets just like you would using gear.

    what specific enzyme had a value of 24? Typically they look at AST, ALT, GGT

    I dont think your protein or aminoacid intake is getting your livervalues too be higher then normal, but do you have any problems in your family with sickness to the liver or kidneys?
