Did my first injection today. Questions.

Did my first injection today. I was shaking like a mother. Quick questions though:
There were still a few very very tiny bubbles near the plunger even after I had gotten rid of all the air. Is that ok?
And I used a 1&1/2" needle in my glute, but I didn't insert it all the way. I left a 1/4 of an inch, maybe a little more, sticking out. Should I insert all the way to the plastic base of the needle or am I fine?

You can have some air bubbles in the syringe dont worry. I purposely leave a lil bit of air in as the end so it pushes all the liquid out and I dont waste any.

im not sure of the amount that will actually do some damage but the lil air bubbles are nothing to worrry about..


on a side note...
anyone know how much (air bubbles) it takes to do death????

There is no magic number of cc's of air that will cause death IMO. You can die from one bubble in you blood stream, and some people will survive a lot more than that. This is why its always important to aspirate.

i have been told by my doc that its takes somethink like 7cc of air to even do any dammage..so i think you are ok

your good to go / when you aspirate you get some air

oh, and to answer your other quest, yes you did the right thing leaving a little bit of the pin out, just in case it breaks and you have to yank it out
