Drug Testing for new jobs..?

When they drug screen you for new jobs, do they catch the gear? They only test for weed & coke, right?

most companies only test for rec drugs like weed,coke, heroin etc.... not steroids

I work for a rather large world wide known company who has a rather aggressive drug test. They do not test for any kind of as.

They are testing for narcotics(rec drugs) not AS.

i have a bad feeling that sometime in the near future, most companies will have to start testing for AAS, especially with all the crap in the media now..sad to say, but its definitely a possibility.

Companies arent gonna want some one all jacked on gear to have a "roid rage" and throw a printer out the window or some messed up crap like that

haha yea im in healthcare and they focus on Rec. drugs but i see all the hype giving steroids a bad name and its terrible bc steroids do wonders for people who need them for medical reasons

It isn’t likely that regular jobs will be testing for gear anytime soon due to the cost, which is approximately $175.00. Most testing done in the workplace consists of a 5-drug panel, marijuana, cocaine, amphetamine/methamphetamine, morphine/codeine, and phencyclidine or PCP. Anabolic steroid (AS) testing is very expensive because there are so many different AS, each of which needs to be tested separately. Currently 29 AS can be detected in urine. Several additional AS can only be detected using a blood test. The NFL, MLB, NBA, NCAA use a standard 29-panel urine drug screen. The International Olympic Committee, International Cycling Federation, World Track Organization uses urine and blood samples.

Regular everyday jobs only test for rec drugs like weed & coke. It's government jobs that test for everything: rec drugs, roids, meds, etc.........
