Is It Necessary To Asperate For Ass Inj.?

I've read a few posts stating there are no veins in the upper ass, so it isn't necessary to asperate when injecting there. I know it's safer to asperate but it's really ackward shooting in the ass and trying to asporate.

So, my question is, is it necessary to asperate when injecting in the upper ass?

    Thanks

    IMHO you should always aspirate.

It's not that hard to aspirate when self injecting.

Use your forefinger and thumb to hold the syringe steady - then use the tip of your middle finger to pull back the plunger.

Better to be safe than sorry.

How do you know if you have successfully aspirated? Blood should fill the needle? and for how much?

How do you know if you are doing it right?

  14. #14
if there is blood pull out and stick somewhere else. If you get an air bubble you are good.

No, the point of doing it is to see if there is blood i.e. you hit a vein. People make a big deal out of air bubbles in the syringe but it would take a lot to hurt you.
