Not to be a smart ass bro, but any chance you are getting it sub-q (under the skin) instead of in the muscle. I hit a glute with 2cc sub-q once by mistake....left a nasty sore. It had a big lump that took about a week to dissolve.

i always get lumps, have one in my left quad right now, and both glutes

I doubt it. Im 10% body fat @ 195 lbs,and I got the lump in my quad and my glute.I use a 21G/1 inch pin.Maybe Ill try 1.5 inch pin.
