I had used BD Primo and had the worst pain at the injection site. I had to literally adjust myself just to be able to get to sleep. There would also be a ton of blood when I pulled out the pin. Anyway, I had been using a 21 gauge, 1 1/2 inch pin and wasn't sure if that was the problem. Some people were saying that it was that BD put alcohol in the mix and things like that so I thought that it might just be the gear and I had to put up with it. Anyway, now I used a 23 gauge 1 1/2 gauge and it is TOTALLY painless! Good to know, it was that friggin hammer of a pin I was jamming into myself, not the gear. The 23 gauge 1 1/2 inch is perfect and I plan to use it from now on. Just sharing my experience.
