Can steroids cause accelerated cyst/tumor growth?
I have a cyst, what i was wondering is that since cysts and tumours have estrogen receptors could certain steroids cause them to grow? if so, which ones?

I have heard horror stories about GH causing accelerated growth, but non about aas. Although it is possible. I'd keep an eye on it, and see a doctor asap if it has changed at all.

I doubt the local doctor could be of much help in this department. I am something of a hypocondriac, and while it certainly sounds logical that steroids would promote the development of cancers, the evidence I have found for it has been inconclusive at best. The only connection that has been the least bit substantiated - to my knowledge - is that between Anadrol and liver cancer.
I don't count growth hormones as steroids.

First, you got to find out if you have any tumor's. If so get them cut out.
As far as cysts go I have a few. GH has reduced the size considerably. I
also have had a couple of tumors cut out of my neck. If you have any thing
cancerous in you; it will feed on the additional red blood cells that the test
brings on. Be careful. & Good Luck!

I have cysts under my skin about 1/2 inch down. I think it happens to old people. They are like lumps under the surface.

Ever hear of HPV? It's a sexually transmitted disease that half of all sexually active adults in North America have. It can manifest as genital warts (for some strains) in men, and cervical cancer in women.
IGF-1 will make all cells grow. All cells.
Got HPV? If so, and if you're a woman, taking GH or IGF-1 can increase your chances of dying. If you have HPV and are a man, it can intensify the outbreak of genital warts.
And remember, half of all sexually active N.Americans have HPV, but most don't know it.
Theoretically, yes, they can, because steroids increase your body's circulating IGF-1 levels, and IGF-1 causes cellular growth._____________________

def bros should be aware....I had some cysts and they def grew as a direct result from the IGF-1....never had too much problems on GH alone, but the moment i added 80mcgs of IGF....i was having new blemishes appear (minute skin tags) and a cycst in my shoulder get much much bigger....and that HPV stuff is becoming more and more common or at least brought to the pu blics attention more often, all should be aware before starting and IGF/Gh regiment

do a google search on estrogen in men?
You may find your answer.
Women with breast cancer are usually given a substance that will lower their estrogen levels in order to combat against their cancer. Around here, many of us use these same substances for PCT or gyno control.
Apperently, in some way, the estrogen plays a major role in cancer growth in people that already have cancer cells in their body.
So knowing that, I would have to assume that certain steroids that raise estrogen levels could potentially accelerate the groth of cancer.
I do not know about a non-cancerous cyst though.

cyst are one thing cancer is another. my dad just had his balls cut off to stop the production of test. he has prostate cancer and test speeds up the process. after casteration his count has gone from off the charts to back to zero, I'd say that's proof right there.

when you go to the doc for trt or hrt they always test psa (prostate specific antigen) in the blood test because testosterone has been shown to speed up prostate cancer. and i know gh definately speeds up most forms of cancer.
