I hit my 1st nerve
Last night I hit my 1st nerve while injecting into my quad and it the weirdest felling. It was not painful but it did make my leg jump. Luckily, I was going slowly so as soon as I started to hit the nerve I stopped. I just pulled the needle out and injected my self about an inch away. My question is I used the same needle for the second injection attempt, should I have changed the needle? Even after this quads are by far my favorite spot.

You could have changed it if you wanted to but I think you are fine. If i ever get close to a nerve I just pull back a little and guide it in a slightly different direction but never remove it completely.

Quick question.. where the HELL do you inject on your quad? I've tried shooting there 3 times, the second two times I hit a nerve and that was the end of my quad shooting days! Now with a bigger, more frequent injecting cycle approaching I KNOW I need to rotate more than just left to right glutes.
I know of SptInj.com but which picture is the best position. I've been told I shoot to high on the quad? and that you should shoot on the side in the middle. Anyone have any tips?

i don't know how u guys inject in your quads... my skin is way too tight it hurts like a mother f*cker going in. Best places for me are glutes, delts, tris, and bis (in that order)

i get some injections that are like that and i think that i'm hitting scar tissue or something but i think what it really is, is that i tense up sometimes which makes it harder to inject, if you just stay relaxed i'm telling u a 25g pin should slide in your quad with no pain at all.

i guess it's just in my head, but if you think about it there are so many things that could go wrong so I am always very careful

I shoot middle on the outside a bit on my quads. Like the others are saying - no pain at all and little blood.

I was told the best way to find a good spot on your quad is to stand up and let your arms fall to your sides. Now see where the tip of your middle finger hits your quad and that is a good spot to start. I now use that area and a litte lower and a little higher.

I had the same feeling when I injected into my quad it was like I was hitting something so I am thinking of going going with a 25G 5/8 anyone else tired that size in the quad?

yeah I tried the 23G 1inch but I always seem to get a little more then half in and then its like hitting a wall so I figured screw it and just go with the delts, glutes and going to start with the tris.

I started to hit another nerve last night. This time I just backed the needle out a little and changed the angle. It was nice not to have to restick myself.

I find that my warning sign is when I see my muscle start to twitch and the feeling is hard to explain but thats when I pull out and go a little to the side of the last injection spot

I have felt my muscle start to twitch, and twice just kept going in with no pain, and once had pain and had to back out.

It's a little more then just feeling your muscle twitch form me. It almost feels like a slight shooting pain/twitch. You don't need to pull the needle all the way out just back up a little and change the angle a little.

luckily i never had any of these problems with hitting nerves. sometimes i've felt shots more than othertimes, but nothing that wasn't tolerable. if you're hitting the right spots on the muscles, you shouldn't have any problems like this. those areas are where the least amount of nerves are as to minimize that kind of problem.
if you hit a nerve, just jam the needle through and teach that nerve a lesson for being there in the first place! make an example so that other nerves will know to get out the way of the needle next time. just joking, i wouldn't recommend doing that seriously, at least not to someone else. i myself don't know any better and probably would.
i've always felt the shots more in my quads than in my glutes or delts, but if you can't handle a shot, you can't handle the workouts needed to utilize what you're injecting IMO. reason i like quads more than glutes though is glutes are a pain to reach around to like you're playing twister or something.
only reason i don't like doing delts anymore is cause one time i put some sust in my delt and later that night and for the next two days my shoulder was literally surging with pain. not sure what the problem was, but it was a long time before i ever injected there again. even now, i won't inject anything that gets sore into my delts.
anyway, as far as hitting nerves, as long as you stick with the site injections recommended, you won't hit any major ones, so you shouldn't do any serious damage.

theres no need to change the needle after something like that.
haha, on a side note, i remember once i was shooting into my quad and i hit nerves 3 times in a row. on the 4th attempt it felt like i hit a nerve again, but i decided to keep pushing the needle in anyway. that sucked, i stuck myself 4 times in a row
