ice to numb
lol just used ice to numb the injection spot worked really well, my question is would this be bad because when icing it does infact heat up the muscle so therefore blood vessels would rush to the site to warm it up so is this bad??

That was a first for me to hear of also. Ice to produce heat.... who knew?
IMHO, ice would tighten the muscle instead of loosen it making the injection more painful in the long run allthough numbing the skin to avoid the pain of the pin prick. You would want your muscles warm and loose so that the oil injected can spread quicker thus causing less pain to the injection sight
I would love to see more info to back up the ice thing.

OK Here's what happens. When you put ice on the area, of course you're numbing it, but what happens when your body gets cold? Blood goes AWAY from coldness to warm the core of the body. Although your whole body is not cold when you ice the injection site, there will NOT be as much blood flowing through that part of the body.
As for more pain? This could not be further from the truth. You will be numb, you wont feel it. How could this be more painful? When you warm the spot up with a shower, you feel it much more as blood is flowing freely and nerves are relaxed. Think of it like this, when you play in the snow, first your hands will get cold and numb, but if you CONTINUE to play in the snow after they are numb, they will begin to hurt. Don't ice it to the point where it hurts of course!

second shot like this and no pain what so ever even a day after the inject, and im an exercise phys major and what we learn is that ice actually heats up the body more then lets say a heating pad, the spot that is iced gets so cold that your body counteracts it and sends vessels there to warm the part up hence it becomes heated, as for the numbing on the skin, i had to ask my gf if the pin was all the way in cause i couldnt feel shit lol works well let me know if anyone else tries it

iced injection
I think you should just man up and inject yourself. It doesnt hurt, all you feel is a little pin prick. You will find it better if you inject yourself you have more control, push it in slow once it goes through your skin you dont feel anything.
