About Injection Infection

i shot my delt yesterday with Prop and now there is redness where i shot and im feling kinda hot too, i dont mind the pain i just dont wanna be worrying about an infection.i use alcohol swabs every time i shoot and i aspirate. if its infection what should i do to prevent it. take Advil or something?
As mentioned in one thread about the possible signs or symptoms of infection include redness, swelling, headache,fever etc.i just wanted to make sure and see what you guys thought.
any information help me to prevent it or for future.

SURE. there are plenty of threads on this you can search for.
PROP = PAIN its the ester. several things you can do. Was this a virgin muscle? If so it will get used to it. What size/length needle did you use? this could be it also. take a HOT shower after your shot and massage the area to spread the oils. This will help lessen pain a bit. You can cut the PROP with B-12

Yes. this was a virgin muscle and i use 23G 1" needle for delt shot.i shot it yesterday and it wasnt sore or red yesterday just today, so the prop is kickin in. i didnt cut it with B12 though but took a hot ahower before and after.
im just curious that in case of a infection from injection you take advil?
im searching on it meanwhile too..

Did you aspirate? I think you will be fine. Doean't sound like an infection just the PROP but keep an eye on it. Virgin muscles usually react like this

Yes i did aspirate... and i think that i did it alright as no blood come out.its kinda hard though well for me as itwas my first time with a delt shot.
but thats a relief to know thats its not infection.

WOAHHHH, I didn't say it wasn't , I said it doesn't sound like it is. I am not a doctor.....lolol Keep an eye on it but I think you will be fine. If it gets worse.....itchy, red, more painful, then you might want to check it...

how u possible get infection? if u dont use alcohol swabs, inject in veins or hit the blood vessel... Do you get infection too if u dont draw right amount of air into the vial from the syringe? or when u fill the syringe with the geartself and do something may be something wrong there?

Did you wipe down the top of the vial with alcohol before inserting the syringe to draw?

yes, i always wipe it and even clean the injection site too with alcohol swab..
i was readin delt shot posts and 1 member was mentioning that you dont have to go all the way in with delt shot where as i go all the way in.
does that matter or have anything to do with the redness or me just been paranoid?

RELAX...sounds like virgin muscle syndrome. You may have been nervous and might have moved the needle more than usual which would make the muscle sore as well. take you time, there are threads and links to injection sites. in fact tonight there was a link to a nurses video on intramuscualr injections, so check that out and make sure you are hitting the muscle in the right spot. you will get used to it and start to love it. I look forward to injecting now .....makes me feel like a doctor.....lolol
