    Clubber: Prediction...PAIN!

I’ve done some research and come across a few different explanations, everything from VMS to bunk gear and infections, but was left wanting.

What on earth is up with this residual inj pain?
Stats: First cycle Test E 500 ew, shooting outer quads 2x weekly with 23x1.5’’ leaving .5 out.

There is no wobbling of the needle, site and vial cap are sterilized, delivery speed and aspiration are smooth, followed by massage.

Shot opposite legs Tue and Friday, both still hurt though the latter to limping.

Now I know pain is normal for all types of virgins, but please fill me in on this one.

first try alternating spots, ur outer quads arent the only place on ur body to shoot, but if that doesnt help, there is alot of times just the mixture of the gear can cause pain no matter where u shoot. maybe try heating the bottle....and do a search on here, ull find some tips on what to do

Well I'm due again tomorrow and you can believe that was on the menu. I'm going glutes half way through a hot shower.

Is this your first cycle? Virgin muscles will equal pain. Amount of oil injected will equal pain.. Certain esters will equal more pain than others. Speed at which you inject could equal pain too, so try to inject very slowly
try shooting then taking a very hot shower adn massaging the area you just shot.
Also try rotating sites as often as possible. Use glutes, quads, choulders,
Your muscles will get use to it sooner or later

    Hope this helps

What brand of test are you using? High BA in the gear is what causes pain.

    PAIN UPDATE:
    First shot is okay
    Second still hurts
Third yesterday in glute, with warm shower, has no pain whatsoever.

    Question:
Barring quads, where would guys say is the next best place to shoot, for rotational purposes? Thanks.

IMHO, best place is GLUTES, other places to try= Delts, bi's, tri's, and some even do chest, lats, calves...

try em out and see wht works for you, just make sure you have the right length pin for each site

    2bshredded & sman,

I don't think I'm going to be able to handle this BD enth. The first two glute days were fine, then the real pain kicked in. I'm no crybaby, the only problem is that this crap is disabling...I'm limping, sitting on inclined benches hurts, I had to warm up on the recumbent bike just to ball yesterday. This is crap dude!

I've got another shot tonight and I think I'm hitting the first quad again (last hit a week ago). I'd rather have early surface pain than late deep depth glute pain.

    Any thoughts?

Are you using heat? massage? Injecting the oil very slowly? What size pin are you using again?

Oh sorry Sman, I'm shooting with 23x1.5.
Oh and as if this wasn't enough, this morning I woke up with a strange and persistant impromptu cough, and little weakness. Test Flu?

I'm ending this cycle, maybe this stuff just isn't for everyone. Not! I'm headed up for shot...later.

Test flu is common amoung most . I get it almost every cycle. Don't quit just cause of that. It will pass, just your body adjusting to the change in hormone levels.
I use a 23g 1.5 in my glutes all the time and a 25g 1" for quads. I will even be getting 25g 5/8" for my delts even though 1" is fine.

Not sure what to tell you about your pain. Could be just nerves, or your technique, takes time to get used to doing it. If you move the needle around once it is inside, it can cause more pain also.

But do what you got to do. If you feel you need to stop, then just make sure you still run your PCT to get everything back to normal.

    GOOD LUCK

Maybe the pain is my body adjusting also. It's warm, slightly swollen, hurtful to the touch, stairs, etc. Technique is flawlessly smooth, slow, deep enough (all the way in glute/.5 out in quad), and nerves are titanium (no shaking/wobbling). Alright my shower is ready. Later.

Order some sterile cotton seed oil. Shouldn't be more than 15 bucks. Pull a 1:1 ration in your syringe. This should reduce the pain by a huge amount.

Sman you wouldn't belive my pain tolerence. Man I never complain about anything, and I virtually never get sick but...

I now have full blown Test Flu. Just finished my 4th Enth (500 EW) shot. It started yesterday with a persistent cough, and last night added quick vascillating chills and sweating, loss of appetite. It continued all day, I'm treating it like any other cold, chicken soup, Vitamin C, and OJ.

According to AR archives, your body experiences this because interprets Test as an interloper and fights it, only to eventually accept and acclimate it.

I also have substantial inj site pain...very swollen glute, warm, painful glute. I can't even flex my buttocks, walk steps, walk period without some pain...this shot was Tuesday afternoon. My most recent, a thigh shot last night has a little tenderness but nothing of note, and certainly not compared to the glute.

Elected not to shoot other glute yet, because of the deep pain, since inj is .5'' deeper.

Hmph! There's a thought. I may try it once I get the past this flu and initial pain/adjustment period.

Like I said my pain threshold is vast, but last night I had to employ advil for it, and benadryl to keep it and the temp shifts (throwing off blanket from heat, and replacing it during chills) from disturbing my sleep. Worked well.

This morning I was moving like a wounded WWII veteran (both his injury and his age). Leg so painful my limp is extremely pronounced, coupled with glute pain I was barely moving. Hit the advil again this morning and will no doubt again today. Look out Rush Limbaugh!

    Good morning guys,

I just finished my second shot of Test E. First one in my left delt, second in my right quad. My left delt is turning me into a b%$&%. I have redness, swelling, a nice little firm spot around the injection site, and I was wide awake at 0400. I know this is all normal after reading this board, but it still sucks!!! I slowed down when I shot my quad and I think I'll try heating the test before I shoot. I'm using 2 guage 1.5 inch. I didn't rub my delt very much, but I treated my quad like a roll of dough and it seems to be a little less painful

Is there any other thoughts on reducing the pain? I know I'm a wimp, but my 3 yr old dropped me with a right cross to my shoulder.

That's funny, but I sympathize with you man. My pain being in the lower body is crippling. Walking is difficult, though the glute (shot last Tues.) is feeling better (advil helps some) the quad shot's pain has kicked in, man I'm limping , sitting slowly with pain, and coupled with the glute wouldn't think of being on the bottom during quality time.

    I'm laughing, but's it's not funny!

I walk like a zombie/Frankenstein, and the flu is still kicking my but.
I gonna have to start injecting upper body, so I can play ball.

I've just had my very first virgin shot on 2 days ago. 1cc Test E + 0.5cc Deca.

Injected into my right outer quad, and yes I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone with the pain!
It hurts like a sonofabiatch the next day and gotten worse early this morning.
I did exactly like textbook cases of injecting, clean and sterile environment and equipment, massaged (perhaps not hard enough?) etc.

Am limping around the office today.

Took some painkillers and it helps.

Test just hurts, thats pretty much all there is to it. I only shoot it in my glutes.

Well an update on the pain issue.

Right quad pain is subsiding now.... only to be taken over by Left quad, which I had another jab at last night.
This time I made sure to massage really deep and firm/hard. Then applied a heat pack to it twice a day.
Its still feeling bad, got a feeling I'll be waking up tomorrow and limping around on one leg again.

And that's what the board is all about, shared experiences and information!

Granted different brands have varied ingredient dosages and some are more painful than others, but physiologically speaking, as you stated "virgin" injects are just that. They hurt partly because you're poking a hole in your body, but mostly because you're injecting fluid into muscle tissue that was not designed to accommodate such an intrusion of space. Soreness results from pressure in the muscle created by the fluid's volume, while the muscle absorps and disperses it into the blood stream.

With time, adaptation will develop both for the soreness itself, and increasing the muscle's adeptness at the accommodation, absorption and dispensing process. Hence, the often touted phrase, "you'll get used to it".
