    year round cycles

im having a hard time understanding the concept and thought behind this. what could possibly be the benefits from it? no matter what i hear i will never do it cause i cant be convenced that it is not a health issue. but i am very curious to hear about it and im not trying to bash anyone who does run gear year round, to each their own!

thats what im thinking too...... would your body not just build up a tolerance for gear and you not get gains any quicker than if you were natural?

It's not that simple: not that cut and dry

A year-round cycle would benefit an elite athlete.

Whether the sport be bodybuilding or a contact sport.

For the bodybuilder, it would be assumed that someone who is 'on' year-round has pushed past their genetic potential.

True steroids take you to your genetic potential.. but also i believe they (in combination with 'exotics') push past the limitations.

At this level.. carrying more muscle than you are genetically meant to carry.. it would not be probable that one would be able to maintain that size when one cycled off.. in my opinion.

    Thus elite atheletes stay on.

Those that don't.. shrink in their offseasons... and grow towards contests.

One top-name, now retired, pro comes to mind

He would be small as hell offseason (relative to other pro bodybuilders).. then 16 weeks out the guy would suddenly start to grow.

16 weeks later he was an Olympia contender.

    No.. they 'cycle'

They run a base of test year round.. and add compounds for 6-12 weeks... then cruise.. then add compounds for 6-12 weeks then cruise

During the cruise they may run a gonadal stimulant.

    That's the simplified concept

It's a tad more complicated tho.

It can have bad effects yes.

    Elevated LDL etc.

But people that cycle year-round don't do it 'to be healthy'. They do it to compete at an elite level.

Elite sports aren't 'healthy'... They're 'extreme'

thanks for clearing that up for me...... for some reason it was just bothering me and i couldnt figure why it was beneficial and why some one would want to do that...... if your putting food on the table with your body then i guess its a little more justifyable

so in conclusion, if your not in extreme sports then you have no business being on a year round cycle because your just asking for problems...... correct?

Thank's for the respones kev was bad ass.

In his new carrier as an actor I think his weight stays around 215 unreal with no weight lifting just cardio to stay lean and hard he said his muscle memory would not allowe him to lift any weight's and still stay in this weight range.

Used to watch him on flexx with Shaun Ray him and flex used to make shaun look small.

You remember boyd damn those guy's were great.
