Rulings please

I have been on the board for a while now and I follow the rules of the board but I have a question about something. We are all aware that posting UGL's are not allowed nor is a source to be mentioned in the open forum. This is what I need help with. UGLs seem to include legitmate oversee's manufactures however US based companies ie. schering are okay to discuss. I have wanted to ask some questions on specific brand name gear but I have seen allot of people get flamed for mentioning, in my eyes, legitimate companies out of Mexico, Thailand ect.. What about specific branded names of compounds, another words the trade name they are being marketed under, can they be mentioned? I understand the reasons we do not want to be a place where sources are listed, but we have a banner with actual sources listed to order from. So someone go into the actual do's and don't's because if I'm unsure after 8 months newby's have to be confused. Just want to clear somethings up in my mind and get the actual info. Please advise...

Best bet would be to PM a mod directly. I wouldn't post source or ugl names in a public forum.

The mods on this site are extreamly nice and very informed. They do this because they want to not because it's their job. So if you post a Lab companies name, and it doesn't belong they will tell you, and edit your post to remove the name.
