Injection Procedure clear this up please

Hey all had a lil disagreement with my friend on how to properly inject could you all clear this up.

The step when you Take the syringe out of the package take the top off and pull back about 1.5 cc of air into the syringe then inject the air into the vial of test to create preassure so it comes out easier.

My friend said you should never do this because your taking bacteria from the air and putting it in the vial thats suppose to be bacteria free?

is this correct whats the deal behind this i thought ur suppose to inject air into the vial to create pressure.

Yes, put the air into the bottle to make it easier to draw the liquid out

but u really dont have to do this if u have patience

He's right about injecting (unsterile) air also injects air-borne bacteria.

Still, the solvents prevent bacterial growth.. so it's not a worry.

Injecting air creates pressure which makes drawing the solution easier.

The presence of BA in AAS solves the air borne bacteria issue.
