You need to ramp your calories throughout the cycle.You just don't start at X amount of calories,in this case 5K which is alot.You should start your diet at maintenance level calorie -wise.Say 3000 for argument sake.The following week add another 200 calories to your daily ntritional plan.Then the following week another 200 cal.You get the idea.This ensures you won't put on any unwanted BF.If you start at 5000 cal.Wher do you go from there?This is a huge mistake rookies make in regards to planning a diet for their cycles. Then they wonder at cycles end why they are so fat.Go figure..........
