AAS linked to stomach disorders?
Anyone ever hear of AAS use leading to any intestinal disorders? Chrones, IBS, etc? just curious.

Besides the occasional nausia usually caused from orals, no. HGH and IGF are reported to increase the size of your intestines, but I don't know of any directly related disorders per se. So I'll bump it for ya.

I have never heard of such a thing not even a theory on it. AAS has nothing to do with Crohns, Colitis or any gastro-intestinal disease. Yes it could cause temporary discomfort but thats it. IBD is more related to the immuno-response to the intestinal lining and how something triggers this unwarranted response which damages the lining and causes the flare up

I used AAS after being diagnosed with crohn's... I lost a bunch of weight and could not gain it back. I think even though crohn's is genetic it seemingly is becoming an epidemic. All sorts of people are being diagnosed.
AAS will not cause those diseases. But will help put weight back on. HGH (gh) is one of the alternative treatments for crohn's, too bad my doc wont put me on for any length of time.

ive only come across one thread that suggested an effect on intestinal disorders, however it was just a thread, not a study. the reason i ask is i have recently had blood tests that suggest i am a celiac - gluten intolerant, where i have never had problems before cycling, mostly with tren in the mix... i have stopped AAS use until i see a specialist and figure out exactly what caused the elevated values in my blood antibody levels. the test was called AGA-IGA blood antibody test. value, 70, normal, >10. it represents intestinal damage leading to malabsorption of many nutrients, including micros and macros. heres hopin!!

This damage causes less absorption of micro or even macro nutrients. In Some, individuals have to be hospitalized during a flare up because of the lack of nutrients or even use an I.V. Depending on the disease as in Crohn's where all or any of the digestive tract is/can be affected versus something like Ulcerative Colitis where it is more accute and the lower part of the colon is affected. Some can get away with corticosteroids(i.e prednisone) which counter the inflammation of the colon others need stronger immunosuppresants(Imuran to suppress the immuno-response. These drug therapies are harsh and many can have acute side effects with prolonged use. There are many drugs in the pipeline The best thing to do is talk to your gastro-enterologist.
Hope this help.

well, the heaviest i have cycled would be 1000mg test, 600mg tren and 600 mg deca /week and 40mg dbol a day, for 6 weeks. it was short lived cause i started having problems in the gut... its too bad that the connect hasnt been made for certain, but that just means it may not or MAY be connected, so until then, i guess caution is in order... in my case i was even having trouble absorbing macros... no hospital though!

Were you finding it hard to gain when you had these stomach problems?
Did you wake up in the morning or at night with bad stoach pains almost like hunger pains but really bad?

I have a question I would like to add:
Do stomach ulcers drastically effect ones ability to absorb nutrients and therefore effect ones recuperation from lifting, gains etc?
