it has been proven in some case studies That with anaboilc use, hindered the state OF REM (rapid eye movement). even though you sleep your body olny rest and recovers in the state of rem , once apon a time thats what BB used GHB for to help hit the state of rem quicker becasue in rem you body releases natural HGH and ables for a good recovery. But due to the harmfull affects Of GHB not many used it. than Renue Was very popular but thus FDA removed it. my best advice would research herbs and natural extracts and thigs to help induce better stats of rem my favorite was melotonin or in a bind an over the counter benadryl or PM sleep aid

Actually I can fall asleep fine if I take a melatonin. If I dont take the melatoni the its a bit harder to fall asleep. Once I am asleep I dont wake up at all like usual so i must be sleeping pretty hard

As a grad assistant, I worked on a research team in the Psych dept. that studied the sleep of advancing (those who work shifts 1, 2 & 3 in that order for weeks or months at a time) and delaying (those who work 3, 2 & 1) rotating shift workers and Mr. Disfunk is correct. Quantity and quality of sleep are very different elements, and how WELL one sleeps in the deepest phase (REM) makes the difference. This is where both mental and physical recovery occurs, and where short-term memory is transferred to long-term.

However, in this case the inability to reach full wakefulness is possibly, but not necessarily indicative of poor sleep quality. Take the Benadryl user for example, both his sleep quality and quantity are usually good, yet he awakens in a haze that if unassisted (coffee, pop, etc.) takes time to clear and can logically be mistaken for sleepiness. The central difference is that one devoid of restful sleep is often tired throughout the day, whereas the other regains alertness sometime within the AM hours. The question here becomes, at what time do you reach full wakefulness/consciousness and does it vary?

As a 24yr. old traditional morning person, assuming all variables are constant (which may not be the case) and that only your aas changes, it makes little sense that your nervous system is taxed more than most causing an unusual listlessness in the morning. Generally, this type of problem is more complicated than one thing, and has a number of contributing factors. If you wouldn’t mind answering a few questions, I might be able to assist. I need to go get some protein now, but I'll check back soon.

I'm on GH and I now sleep about 9 hours a night on average. More on the weekends. I sleep like a teenager again. I like the sleep but it's annoying sometimes since I have a lot to do during the day. But it's good for growth for sure.

    QUESTIONS:

    1. You mentioned trouble getting to sleep, how often do you experience this?
    2. And how often do you employ the aforementioned sleep aids?
    3. Does your cycle include any CNS stimulants? If so, when are the last taken?
    4. What ancillaries do you take?
    5. Typically, we consume more meals on cycle, when is your last and what is it usually?
    6. When do you generally attempt sleep?
    7. When do you wake up?
    8. Is there consistency in the two above questions?
    9. Do you work out late? If so, when do finish?

Try using melatonin at no more than 3mg, get a full eight hours. Do not use melatonin for more than a couple weeks and cycle it if you must.

    OR

I'll come over and wisper "wake up sleepy-head" into your ear. I bet you would wake up then.

    1. Pretty much every night. I have never been the guy who falls asleep right away, I call it an overactive mind. Usually takes 1/2 hr to fall asleep.

    2. I really only use melatonin 1mg sublingual when im on cycle. I only use mon-fri to make sure I fall asleep for work the next day . I have also tried valerian root but didnt seem to do anything extra for me

    3. Do currently im not useing clen but will be in about 3 weeks, I have never ran AAS with Clen so not sure how that is going to go. I do drink alot of green tea but try to taper it off at night except pre workout since I workout at night

    4. Right now I am not taking any ancillaries , In the past I have always run 1/2mg Adex Every day, but from advice from people have went without, I Am not experienceing any Estrogen sides and dont think I would have in the past but always ran them. I will only start to use them if needed

    5. I consume 7 meals a day, 3 of thoose are shakes and almonds. I consume my last meal PWO 2 sccops of ptotein and then I come home and have 1/2 cup oatmeal and 40 grams of protein from fish. I consume this meal 1 hr and 1/2 before bed

    6. usually I go to sleep at 11:30pm

    7. I wake up at 8am

    8. Yes there is consistency mon thru saturday give or take an hr. sometimes I sleep in on mon and weds since I work at latter shift

    9. I aither work 9am-3pm 9am-6pm or on my night days its 3pm-9pm

    10. I work out mon,tues,thurs,fri at 9-10:30

    Thanx for the help

High levels of test can also cause or aggravate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in some men. This is mentioned as a side effect in the inserts. A classic symptom of apnea is sleeping a lot yet never feeling refreshed.

Working out late at night will cause insomnia....if you are working out from 9-10:30 PM.

    Big,

You have a very interesting profile and many valid points were raised by the forum members.

You failed to answer my first question (within the first post), the answer to which is very important because it could eliminate several possibilities.

“…at what time do you reach full wakefulness/consciousness and does it vary?”

Nevertheless, your questions and answers were clear enough for me to posit the following.

HINDERANCES TO BIG’S GETTING TO SLEEP
    Late work out
    Late carbs
    Green tea
Obviously, if possible, lifting earlier would help. Consuming energy providing carbs prior to bedtime is not recommended, though the meal doesn’t seem especially disruptive other than being somewhat Fear Factorish (oatmeal and fish), where do you live on Cyprus? Decaffeinated green tea is available with the same slimming properties, though it appears you also use it as a work out booster and possibly (intentionally or unintentionally) to help you through the day.

    HINDERANCES TO BIG’S WAKING
This MAY be your SOLE problem. Though Melatonin is relatively mild and clears the system completely by the following morning, most routine users don’t know it’s awful secret. Unfortunately, it’s cumulative. This means that it accumulates within the body, and when this happens it’s affects carry over to the next morning causing a host of next day fatigue problems (see bolded below).

Did we find our common denominator, let’s review your words:
“Just wandering if anyone else cant wake up while they are on.”
“I really only use melatonin 1mg sublingual when im on cycle.”
“I only use mon-fri to make sure I fall asleep for work the next day.”
    Now let’s review Melatonin’s Profile:

    PHARMACOKINETICS
A single nighttime dose is cleared by the following morning. With chronic dosing, however, some lipid storage occurs.

    ADVERSE REACTIONS
Adverse reactions associated with melatonin include stomach discomfort, morning grogginess, daytime "hangover," feeling of a "heavy head," depression, psychotic episodes (in combination with fluoxetine), headache, lethargy, fragmented disorientation, amnesia, inhibition of fertility, increased seizure activity, suppression of male sexual drive, hypothermia, retinal damage, gynecomastia and low sperm count. Typically, these reports are related to high doses. However, adverse effects have been reported and can occur with low doses as well.

Often the simplest answer is the correct one.
    - Sherlock Holmes

    Slam dunk? Maybe.
Ditch the Melatonin and see if that extinguishes the four adverse reactions above.

It does vary, Sometimes I wake up a little faster, but towards the end of the week it does seem to get worse. I thought this was due to the fact that I was burnt out becasue of the serious weigt training. But it always seems that monday I have an easy time waking up, I always thought it was due to the fact that I slept in on sunday and caught up on sleep

Thanks for the help magic. I will start monday off not useing melatonin, any sugggestions on what else I can use to help me sleep better at night?

I can only workout at night, and no I dont live on cyprus. Its just that seems to be the best fit meal for me. I use the fast acting protein at the gym and then come home after the workout and want something slow digesting, so fish is perfect becasue of the fats and slower protein, and then By that time of night of so sick of eating brown rice that oatmeal seems much better, To make it worse i usually have some sugar free tang to go with it

I do experience some of thoose side effects for melatonin throughtout the day so we will see what happens

Again Thank you and its good reading your stuff
