if your ass feels like there is a basketball under the skin then it's most likely a minor infection or some bad inflammation. When did you inject there? If it gets better by the day then leave it alone and just deal with it, however if it seems to initially become more painful, more inflammed as the days go on then its def. an infection. I just dealt with something similar, I hit my tricep with some 500 mg test e that I got by mistake and it totally ****ed my arm for about a week and a half. Go to a pet store or fish store, and get some Tetracyclene, I beleive mine was 500mg tabs. This is gonna sound crazy, but take 2-3/day, the Tetracyclene fights bacteria, it wont hurt you. You can also take Amoxicillan if you can get it, but if your allergic to Penacillan like myself, stay away from it because it can kill ya. But Tetracyclene is something to try for a few days, and if it still becomes worse go see your Doc.

I have had a few lumps, turned red and got a little warm, soar for about 5 days, I just rotated my shots and let the soar side heal for around 10 days, don't know if this will work for you but I wouldn't shot in there tell the lump and pains gone. So at this point I think time is the answer to see if it heals or gets worse.
