Roid Speech, Quick Help
So 2marrow, I have to give a speech and the topic is steroids . It is basically any side I want to take, I just have to clearly state my point and get it across good.
Any cool or interesting topics that would look good in a speech would be great.
Thanks guys.

Ya you can talk about how the media doesn't know shit and how the evidence they have that steroids are linked to death or serious health risks are.....0, but they continue to talk about how steroids lead to all these health problems.

If taken correctly steroids lead to high cholesterol, thats about it. But all these myths about steroids causing serious health risks and deaths is bs. There's absolutely no scientific evidence to support these "theories"

You can talk about how much bigger your twig looks when your nutz shrink and if you shave your nutz its looks huge - chicks dig that
Take a look at the HBO steroid special, its really good and will give you tons of info. You can find it on the net, its about 20-25 minutes long.

Well, you should not encourage the use of steroids in any way to your class because it may spark an interest in someone who is not willing to learn the proper way and time to take them.
If I were you, I would lean more towards the "Abuse of Steroids"
Start out by emphasising that you in no way are promoting the use of steroids and then ease into how the abuse of steroids is becoming a problem.
Talk about how the media's negative attention only sparks interest in young adults and teens and they see it as an option on how to "get ahead" of your game.
The media seems to focus a lot on baseball players and steroid use . This in itself is an advertisement to people to go out and find steroids knowing that you will not be tested for steroids in High School so why not use them.
Ignorant young adults and teens get the idea from the media that steroids do indeed work, however, where do they turn to for proper usage when they finally get ahold of "The Juice"?
Do a little research and you will find that steroids will stop a person from getting any taller if their growth plates are not fully developed yet. This usually occurs around 23.
Abuse can cause minor health problems that could eventually lead to major health problems.
The most obvious side effect in irresponsible youths that use "gear" is going to be the aggression (roid rage ). Depending on what type of steroid is taken, and the pre-existing mental condition of the user, there could be some serious rage and depression that may seem over-whelming to some people leading to thoughts of suicide or acts of violence.
If I were you I would head in that direction for a neutral response.
just my 2 cents.

im assuming ur at college right, if ur going to give a pro steroids speech to a class who doesnt know about steroids u r asking to get slammed... media hype combined with political correctness will ensure u get bad marks and a bad personal reputation, u can smoke weed, snort coke and get drunk all u like and no one will bat an eyelid, even the fact that u know about roids is enough to convince the ignorant that u are some no good big time cheating mutha roid junkie from hell, trust me on this... do a speech on global warming or the fall of communism or u will be ostracised big time, JMO good luck with the speech.

Lavinco has some very good pts. I would also talk about the positive effects of AS in terminally ill patients who need them for their very survival, imparticular AIDS patients - also talk about how many men use it as hormone replacement therapy
good luck bro

i didnt read many of the replies but basically a big point is that uneducated people especially minors are the ones who dont know what needs to be taken and how much of it to be safe. these are the ones who suffer and give it a bad name.

Ky I had to talk about this in college too, in my ethics class, the point i tryed to stress is that ("I said from my research and reading") steroids are not to be taken lightly they must be given respect and not abused in the wrong way , they are not for everyone.........basically i tryed to stress that they are not a toy to be played with

Well if you are pro-steroids prepare to be viewed as a user
Basically no getting out of that. Doing a speak about aas would be tough. One the one hand, I'd wanna be pro-steroids but on the other, I wouldn't wanna be looked at as a user etc

don't know your time zone bro... but how about the fact that it's perfectly normal to get plastic surgery for cosmetic/appearance reasons, even though many people die world wide from complications of same.
but it's illegal for a responsible adult to go see a doc and get an rx for anabolics for improving one's body by incorporating an excersise/fitness routine along with a healthy diet.

Also don't forget to bring a syringe in class and show them how to inject... May want to consult your teacher on that one first though.

hahaha bring a syringe...
Well, I gave me speech today. I didnt write it down, but put some key points on index cards and just flowed with it.
I started by stating that Im not promoting steroid use , and have not used steroids .
And I talked about all the key points stated above from the help of you guys, and points from that HBO special.
The prof. said I def got an A, because it is hard to take the less traveled path and have success, but I got my point across really well and everything.
My overall point was....There is a fine line between steroid USE and ABUSE. When USED correctly and responsibly, steroids are not made up to all the negative hype the media throws out.
So yeah...thanks to ev1 who put their 2 cents in....lol, it just got me an A...
hells yeah!
thanks guys.
