I shot my ventrogluteal this morning straight outta bed. It was like a dream come true. Smooth, no blood, no pain, no soreness creeping up. Its my favorite spot. Anyway ive been using 22g 1''. That should be long enough
right? Im about 10% bf.

I would still suggest a 1.5 inch needle

But at 10% bf you will probaly be A OK

At 10% bf, 1" is fine. What I would have a problem with is the 22GA needles. Can you say "scar tissue"?
