    Captopril/Capoten

    Anybody know how to take this stuff, and when is a person's Blood Pressure high enough to need it?? Nut

    Captopril is rapidly absorbed after oral administration with bioavailability of 70%. It is highly protein bound and is excreted via Kidneys.

    Used for:
    Congestive heart failure- 12.5 to 25 mg 2-3times daily
    Hypertension- 25 to 50 mg 2-3 times daily
    Renal impairment- 25mg 3 times daily
    Treatment after MI- 12.5 to 50mg 3 times daily
