What do you use to measure your bf%
Besides having it professionaly done (water weighting etc...) what do you use to measure your bf %? Are there any good and reliable calipers on the market? Maybe ones that let you measure thickness in 3 points?
THX!
P.S.
I promise it is the last post for tonite :-)))

rule of thumb i hear frequently is if you can see your abs your 10% or less, seems to be fairly accurate in most cases...

I found a pretty good electronic caliper called FatTrackII for about $30 on the Internet. I went to the Cooper Clinic this week and had the hydrostatic test done and it showed 8.26%. The Fat Track shows 7.5. They say the Fat Track is only releiable for those under 15% bf.

Any other, cheaper alternatives to Lange callipers, ones that can measure at 3 points?

I use the top of the line Tanita BF scale. I also have my BF checked periodically by a trainer and find that the scale is accurate within a half of a percent, but it consistently measures a little higher. I find it to be a good gauge of progress - understanding its limitations.

Call your doctor and ask if he has a high grade bodymass calculator. My doctor has one, which, according to him, was one of the top performing, high-end models.
The patient stands on the sensors in bare feet and has leads connected on chest and arms. The resistance of a low grade electrical current is measured based on age, weight, height, athletic/average build, etcetera.
Good luck.
