    Blood donating: great oil change

I work in the pharm industry and I often review blood works for friends of mine. It seems we all know that aas can rise RBC and hematocrit levels. but decreasing these levels is as easy as donating blood. Not to mention that blood donating decreases the risk of heart attack my about 30%. Its as simple as giving yourself an oil change, and the benefits are outstanding. They give you free candy too...LOL anyone using aas should donate every three months, but obviously you have to lie about the use of needles HUH>>>

How many do this? If you have some reason you can't donate (like taking Accutane for acne) has anyone tried doing it yourself? What gauge pin did you use? Etc.?

if your cycling at the time of donation aren't you giving other people dirty blood. or does that not matter......not to sound sarcastic, im just curios

Don't we want higher hemocrit? High O2 in blood not to mention other benefits that RBC's do to help for muscle building?

Hemacrit/RBC too high cause adverse sides, and potentially even death (aka "blood sludge"). Even at HRT doses endos will suggest blood donation as a way to keep it under control.

There is no issue with giving blood in the case of HRT, anyway. In fact, they give blood between genders, so the difference between the genders can potentially be greater than within genders with someone on a cycle - at least in terms of percentages, if not absolute numbers. Hormones are evidently not considered an issue with transfusions.

As to loading up a few 10cc barrels at home, well if you think you are too stupid to be able to do it, then I would say you are right to stay away from it.

As far as Accutane is concerned, it turns out that thought they list is as a concern if you have EVER taken it, in fact it is just four weeks when they follow up so the Red Cross was happy to take my blood.

How fast does the human body take to reproduce all the blood you just pumped out? I know it is fairly fast, but does anyone know for sure? Also is it free to donate blood at say the...red cross..or wherever.

It is free...LOL, some places pay for it, though I think they DCed this in the US due to fear that it could compromise the blood supply.

As to the time to take effect, all I know is that for the last couple of weeks I have not been able to keep my eyes open and I am Mr. Wakey wake right now.

other than getting tested at a docs office, how would you know if your rbc is too high? also, can't an asprin a day prevent the concerns of "blood sludge" and heart attack?

  20. #20
An aspirin is not a bad idea, and I have never heard of death due to blood sludge unless someone was doping with EPO, I just used that as the example of the extreme issues one can develop. The lethargy and other less lethal symptoms are not alleviated by aspirin (and plenty of folks have heart attacks and strokes while on aspirin therapy).

As to knowing your exact number, I know of no other way than getting a blood test. I think the fact that my lady at the Rec Cross indicated that my iron was "through the roof" (which to them is a good thing) is a qualitative indication that my count was high.

At HRT/cruising doses my number was 62, and after 8 weeks of Masteron, EQ, and Test E at 600/wk it would only go up.

If you can't give blood for (any reason) you can have your doctor
send you to a hospital and they will drain a pint and toss it.

I'm 55 and had (red face) kind of like acne. Sort of a give away. Not
to mention the fact that I looked like I was some drunk with high
blood pressure. I just looked ridiculous. One day later it is half gone.
I did it right after a test shot. They prick your finger and look at the
white and red blood cells. When they saw all the RBC's the were
drooling over me. The put a 16 guage in me. I requested a smaller
needle but no way. After about 10 or 15 min bells and wistles were
going off and this bag of bood was so big it looked like it was about
to explode, I mean it was round and full to the brim. Supposed to be
a pint. Looked like a quart. Hey, I'm gonna do it again in a couple of
months. You have to wait that long.

Next time you get a blood test request a CBC With Differentials. It's
cheap. Like $28. from Lab Corp. They want a few hundred for Test/
and Estrodial. There are 3 types of estrogen. Men should only be
    concerned with Estradiol.

The question regarding tatoos are in regards to new ones; like a year
or two. Most likely the piercings also. The did ask me if I injected NON
perscribed meds. I was perscribed this stuff.

Hey, they check the blood for all kinds of stuff. The worst part is
going into a room and answering all kinds of questions. Just give short
answers. Most questions are ridiculous and they want to get threw them
as fast as they can. "They want your blood" They sell it for hundreds
of dollars. You get a candy bar and a soft drink.
