so, i have a few questions that i hope someone can help me with.
I am wondering when and how me using anavar for example could help my performance as a long jumper.
I dont know if you know the periodization of training...but ill tell you the basics anyway...basically i go through a 6 week prep phase where i lift heavy but for 5-8 reps. speed work is done al year, med ball throws are done all year....heavy ball in early season and light ball in late season. plyos properly start after6 weeks, bounding is done all year either specific (short) or endurance bounding (longer 50+metres). after first 6 weeks, then 8 week max strength cycle where lifts are done in a pyramid format 5,4,3,2,1 etc...then throughout competition cycle lifts are very fast at around 60% 1rm, includes 30% jump squats etc...speed work is here done 2-3 times a week...etc...
ok, so theres the basics to my training...
now, WHEN would/should i start using some kind of steriod (which cylce and why) and HOW will it help my performance....will it just increase my max strength thus increasing my power? i dont really get it....
