    Got weak and had to lay down after first shot..........

    So my buddies calls me today and told me he took his first Test E shot Monday. He then told me the story behind it. He said he was all ready at 7 am. He just got out of the shower and had his roomate give him a glute shot. Now my buddy HATES needles but felt it was a small enough needle and the pros out weighed the fear of the needle. He said everything went smooth didn't hurt or scare him at all, but after his shot when his friend was cleaning up some of the blood with a cotton ball he all the suddon got weak and had to lay down. He said he laided there for almost an hour before he felt he could get up. then he laid in bed and went to sleep for another hour before waking up to go to work. When he woke up he said he felt fine and didn't have any side effects through out the rest of the day. I asked him how his @ss felt today and he said fine. He like my self do not under stand what happend though. Was this caused from his fear of needles? Was it the test? If his body rejected it wouldn't it get worse not go away after a little nap? Oh he also said that he got pale and white as a gohst. Any help that I could lend my friend would be great. I don't think he's going to put his next shot on Thursday off, but I would like to give him some information regarding this. Is this at all common? I myself only know a half a dozen or so poeple that have cycle'd and the ones I have talked to today have not heard of this. Am I wrong for laughing at him and calling him a pussy?

    It's psychological bro... like 'white coat anxiety': the auttomatic rise in blood pressure some people experience whenever they see a doctor.. The rise usually results in a misdiagnosis for hypertension .. in an otherwise healthy individual.

    Your bro will either acclimate.. or not. Depends on the support he receives.. Depends on whether the association/response can be conditioned.

    Don't call him a pussy. Even if it is an irrational fear.. it is well justified within his mind.

    I feel kind of bad now. I'm going to talk to him tomorrow and I'll let him know. I'm sure that will make him feel better. I hope this doesn't happen to me. I'm kind of scared of needles too. lol.

    Dude.. as a teen it took 5 nurses (one for each limb.. and one to hold brace my neck)..and one doctor to give me an injection.

    I've been a sickly kid all my life (asthma etc.).. so i've been in and out of hospitals all my life..so I HATE shots.

    My first self-adminitered shots took like 30 minutes each. lol

    Every time i'd bring the pin near my skin my hand'd shake uncontrollably.

    He'd feel like cat poop...I feel it in my throat. Tightening of airway, but more painful than really tightening. Headache, etc...

    Injection in vein? He'd've felt it immediately.

    The severity would depend on the volume that actually got into the vein.

    I got a couple transient drops in a vein.. felt llght-headed immediately.. started to cough shortly after uncontrollably.. felt like i was gonna die actually lol. Spasmic coughing.

    Are you guys shitting me? That's all bad. How can I be sure to avoid hitting a vein when I start my cycle? Is pulling the plunger back to check for blood good enough? Are there a lot of veins in your glutes? Any full proof ways?

    If this happens to "your friend" again, have him breath into a paper bag ... anxiety usually results in hyperventilation so you blow off all the CO2 and your blood pH increases .. corrected by rebreathing the CO2.... feel better.
