    Subcutaneous injection of AAS

What problems can result from a subcutaneous injection of anabolics? I have been injecting B12 weekly for the past several weeks. B12 can be administered either subcutaneously or intramuscularly so I haven't been worring about putting the needle in too deep (delt shots only). I was wondering what problems could develope if a injection of a steroid is given too shallow so as to not penetrate into the muscle, i.e. a subcutaneous injection? Can anyone give me a link to some info or this or personal experience. Thanks.

For an explaination of intramuscular verses subcutaneous injections see http://www.steroid.com/inject.php.

There is a tiny tiny space between the layer of skin/fat and muscle tissue. If you do not inject the AAS into the muscle, a sort of pool of oil will develop in that region causing an abcess. The abcess can then develop a dangerous infection. Hence only GH, slin, etc, VERY small injections are done SubQ, but for .5CC or more, stick to intramuscular!

So injecting an oil based compound subQ will lead to an injection? As for the size of a SubQ injection, I know veterinarains for example regularly inject up to 10cc's SubQ of B12 into dogs. My doctor also advised that I could inject B12 SubQ and I"m dosed at 1cc.

Dont get me wrong, I'm definatly not planning on injecting tren SubQ or anything, just interested.

Well b12 is water based, so I can't speak for that. But damn 10CC's is a lot! Those poor dogs must be walking around with a basketball growing out of their asses when he's done!

They do have a substantial hump on thier backs which takes a while to be absorbed. It looks pretty gross. Its normally dosed up to 1cc per 10lbs bodyweight for dogs I believe.

To be honest I dont think there is a 100% rule that says you will get an abcess, I mean if you think about it there are times when you shoot and then some gear leaks out after. Well if that is the case then it is OBVIOUS there is going to be gear that is in the fatty region. There is no doubt in my mind that almost each time I inject some liquid comes back through the peircing and up to the skin, even if it doesnt leak each time you can be sure it doesnt just sit perfectly still where you shot it, so there will always be some sub-q. And I have never had an abcess.
That being said I would never shoot sub-q, but just dont like the usual parroting that goes on. I mean I would like to know who of these guys who claims you WILL get an abcess has actually suffered one because of this shooting technique.

Thanks Bino. I'm with you in that I certainly dont plan on shooting SubQ but I would like to see some research or at least first hand experience about it.

(Also, I thought I would throw on my Pirate Hat and Eyepatch for Halloween in my avi).

LOL Nice hat man. Ya I mean like I said I would never do sub-q. But Im sure many others havent either, so to claim you WILL get an abcess is pushing it a little since no one has experience with it most likely and also you get AAS under your skin after ever injection anyways.

yaeh but if u inject like 1 cc of oil based compund subQ it sounds probable that it would develop into an abscess.. small amounts are eventually absorbed I guess.

Do you have any evidence to back this up? I don't doubt that an absess could potentially form, just trying to get legitimate information here.

Thanks for the link. Although the article is a little unclear, it appears that the patient in this case study was injecting sesame seed oil SubQ in order to augment his muscles, i.e., like a synthol use would. The case study also states that the formation of cysts was an "unusual side effect."

I dont think this entirely answers my question but I would agree that at least one case study has shown that SubQ injection of a oil can lead to the formation of nodules or cysts.

yeah u are right.. didnt even read it through.. but yeah, the amount needed to form an abscess or cyst would be interesting to know... Ive actually seen a vaccine meant to be injected IM injected subQ and one of them developed inflammation and swelling. dont know what kinf of liquid it was but it was definetly meant IM. A nurse who was filling for the regular did this. It eventually subsuded but it got pretty big.
