Is it true your muscles retain memory, like exhaustion and load factors... Pertaining to working the routine for 2 months will do less then changing it up every 2 weeks? just a thought.

i dont know about the question youre asking but from personal experience there is muscle memory, i worked out for about 8 months(this was 2 years ago) and then stopped and didnt work out for 8 months. when i got back into working out it took me 4-5 months to get back to lifting the same weight from before which took me 8 months. so from that i know there is muscle memory
im talking about differences in gains from different workouts for the same muscle:
IE you do 5 exercises 3 sets an exercise 8 reps
you do the exact same exercises the exact same order(same machine or free) but you still add weight depending on how hard you work out
or you do 5 exercises 3 sets 8 reps then switch to 3 exercises 5 sets 10 reps next week then do something different, then different again.
is the second way profoundly more effective? what are peopls thoughts on this
