    hit a nerve or infection?

i took 2 amps of omni on monday in left glute. shot felt different,a little sorer than usual. teus normal pain, wed worse ,thurs unflippenbelieveable pain--swollen,barely walk, could not touch. thurs night iced it,fri painful but better.
does this sound like i hit a nerve or an infection. its a little red but i'm rubbing it all the time. it is swollen but not at site its above it. and if its an infection i dont think it would feel better without antibiotics which i do.

so what do you bros think---i've done countless shots in my life but never one like this and if you do think its infected and i need antibiotics then would cipro or keflex work(can get both of them else where than from my doc) my dr is on vacation so dont want to go to a stand in

if its an infection keflex wont do the trick (used for respritory infections) but cipro MAY... i would go with a different antibiotic however so going to the doc may be the best option if the area doesnt get better with-in 24-48 hours.
    good luck

An infection will be all red and swolen, but only right around the injection site.

I think you just hit a nerv or a blood vessal, intra musclular injections hurt sometimes more than always.

Prob just a bad reaction to the shots. I had a red sore pain also. The area was red as hell and swollen. 3 dayz later all was cool.

Keep an eye on it. If it is feeling better, i doubt it's an infection, sounds like a bad shot. if it is an abcess, you'll have to have it cut out and drained. I had one and it progressively got worse. The injection site swelled, turned red, turned hard, and was hot to the touch. I could barely walk and finally went to the doc to get in drained...
