i remember a forum a long time ago where users could post fake sites in threads

that forum is gone..I dont know why. Without knowing the site, I can still say that .com sites are usually fake. to be safe, you can pm a mod to do a source check.

PM a willing Mod or Vet, and they can do a source check for you.

nark told you what needs be done. you gotta put some time into the forums, as we don't just offer advice to anyone without them at least contributing in some way to the site. but more likely than not, a .com source is going to be a scam.
