ok....i just got an a@@-load of proviron for free(old timer at my gym said they were a gift)not sure if they're fake or real but that doesnt worry my brother.he wants to take them alone without any pct or anything.i tried explaining that this wouldnt work for all the reasons possible but to no avail.so...is there any way he can take them and make any keepable gains???

Proviron is not anabolic, he won't have to worry about PCT however.

Maybe he can notice hardening, but for sure he will keep the gains, since he will not gain at all.

Proviron does lower SHBG so more free testosterone can reach muscle tissue, which "might" mean more muscle grow, even when used alone.
Proviron will also result in some added CNS-strenght, since it has a structure similar to DHT.

I've used proviron up too 200mg ED and i can't remember any increase in muscle strength, it really improved my mood though.
