I read a bit about anavar(not a big fan of oral roids) and I was wondering if its such a mild steroid why does it cause cholesterol?

Not sure of the science but it afftects Cholesterol big time. Mine was through the roof after I user Var in one of my cycles.
how much did you use and how long was your cycle? (did you manage to bring your cholesterol down?)
I was on 90mg ED for 10 weeks. It came back pretty quickly but I was using Lipitor to reduce it. There are some supplements that will keep it under control while on cycle.
It is very mild on the liver at least.

I was on 900mg nandroloen and 120mg var and my cholesterol improved. Just FYI, you have to watch yourself and see what happens for YOU.

Don't know the science behind it too. But I believe all AAS will affect lipids. Including PH. SD and PP just to name a few..
furazobol and nandrolone can improve HDL.
hmm, interesting... I never knew that.. I learned something knew today.Originally Posted by Skullsmasher

Niacin and fish oil are great for high cholesterol too.
This is true from a toxicity perspective.Originally Posted by Skullsmasher

As you know it has glycogen storage responsibilities coupled with the production of bile and cholesterol, it has the equivalent of two full-time jobs. Some knuckleheads even eat animal liver, the most toxic organ in the body, but I digress.
Cholesterol is in nearly every animal source we consume, and of course bb'ers eat a lot more, increasing the workload. Though family history dictates how much cholesterol the liver produces, this is easily skewed by twice passing orals regardless of their toxic mildness. Hence any oral will greatly impact the already overtaxed liver of a bb'er, and this will be evidenced by spiked cholesterol levels.
