    Never Injecting Biceps again (Infection)

So the other day I decide why not hit my biceps (virgin muscle) instead of my quads just to get a little fascia stretching.

Couple of days later the primo pain is gone in my left arm but my right arm is even more painful then usual and quite red.

I wait 2 more days to see if its gonna go away by itself but I'm shit outta luck.

Go to the doctor and apparently its cellulitis and she put me on strong antibiotics right away.

did the nurse report you? I did my biceps before, they got red and swollen but then it went away, i think its just a very sensitive part and also the needle sive is important

Told the nurse I was using B-12 cause I didn't know if they have the "patient confidentiality thing" but I told the doctor the truth.

it aint that bad, just use a 25g 1'' needle and only inject up to 1cc, it is not painful

I used 25g 1" and injected 0.5ml in both biceps, one bicep fine, second bicep swollen to double normal size (look ma 20inch arm) and with a bright red spot that keeps growing.

I don't think so but I'm getting quite paranoid and I can't remember if I swabbed both arms.

I can tell you 100% that the area you inject to has NOTHING to do with the possibility of infection. You had a bad injection proceudre end of story. It is absolute rubbish to think that if you shoot quads over biceps you are less likely to get an infection, just absolute rubbish.

Maybe but I checked and doctors and nurses always avoid the area as you are more likely to rupture small blood vessels which increases the risk of cellulitis by orders of magnitude.

If you are going to be in the game, you have to learn how to rotate sites and use more then just quads, glutes, and delts. I would rather have a sore bi for 3days then inject into a land mind of scar tissue on my quads.

did you change needles after you injected into the first bi before going into the next?

Well there is no doubt you must be careful HOW MUCH you inject in each site. It depends on your size and just injection experience all together, so yes you can cause a problem injecting way too much in a given area, but you mentioned it was .5cc. I dont see any probs arisign from that at all. I have done up to 1.5cc in my bicep, let me tell you it hurt for a WEEK

Jus be careful, shoot slow and clean the areas and you will be ok bro.

Sweet but I think I'll avoid biceps (at least with 225mg/ml Primo) it hurt a lot more then any other muscle I've done.

How long did it take to clear up once you started antibiotics?

I had to miss gym today and would hate to miss more then a couple of other sessions.

is injecting into scar tissue dangerous, or is it just that it hurts?

Doesn't hurt it just feels nasty because you can feel the needle breaking through the layers of the scar tissue.
