Lexapro and ALL ssris SUCK. Prozac, paxil, lexapro and all anti depressants that affect serotonin and whatever, they all suck. They all make you tired, DEPRESSED, lazy and fat. Heck even Anna nicole smith's son was on Lexapro and the guy was a depressed mofo because of it, and now he's dead.
Try lifting weights on Lexapro (moderate to high dose), you'll be a weak fool that will be miserable. These products really are FALSE ADVERTISMENTS and make things worse. I think only the COMPLETELY mentally unstable people, those who can't leave the house without having a panic attack, those who are completely disabled by their mental illness (manic depression or panic attacks ) serious stuff, ONLY THEM should be taking Lexapro and other SSRIS.
For the rest of the population, depression , feeling down AINT good enough to take SSRIS like prozac or lexapro because simply it will make you 10 TIMES WORSE. Trust me, if your depression is mild you will become WORSE. Even if your depression is severe, the med may tip you over the edge and kill you. It's really dangerous stuff. But lifting + lexapro or any mental anti depressant= Bad combo.

My concern would be, if you are having depression problems, coming off a cycle might be a little rough.

to zk7,
Who are you? What have you done to make you such an expert on anti depressants? You see someone on tv who is on antidepressants and you automatically are an expert on the stuff. I've made good gains despite being on lexapro. And before you come back at me assuming I'm new to to all this, I've been training most of my life. bp-365/dead 545/squat 495 x 3 while not on any gear. And yeah, I happened to be on lexapro at that time.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying antidepressants help everyone. I just don't like people passing judgement on those who are on certain meds like myself.
