1¼ too long for quads?

Hey peeps...

just wondering if 1¼" pin is too long for quads. I read in the Educational section that 1" is preferable. Also, do I hit it dead center on top or does it matter? Im sure I could get some 1" but thats an extra trip and I have dozens of 1¼'s.

you can always cut the cap of the needle 1/4 of an inch and put it back on the needle so you only go in one inch.

You can use 1 1/4" and just not stick it in all the way. Leave alittle bit exposed.

Or buy some 1" pins if you are uncomfortable with that idea. Pins are dirt cheap. Buy what ever you feel comfortable with.

Thanx for the link, the injection info I was given (mapped layout of the glute) is a MUCH bigger area and I think I may have injected one out of the zone shown on that site, might explain some of the pain.

well, if that is indeed what happenned on my first ever injection, which appears to have been 2-3 inches too far forward so it is possible, I would not wish the pain on anyone. I compare it quite closely to the experience of tearing my shoulder out a couple years back.

I depends how thick you quads are. I've used 1" and usually use 1.25" for Glutes. I have used 1.25" for Quads though with no issues at all.

I have used 1.5" on quads with no problems. 1" feels much better though.
