Steroid(s) for cardio (10K's, 1/2 marathons)
I'm a bodybuilder with lean muscle mass. I like doing cardio (crazy huh!). I'm ready to participate in 10K runs and 1/2 marathons. Which steroid (s) would be recommended for my continual bodybuilding training and the cardio that I've mentioned above. Thnks

I think you would need to make a choice between distance runner and bodybuilder. The two do not combine well.

Well EPO would do the trick, though I'm not sure if you can get that or not...erythropoeiten...I think that's how it's spelt. Anyway, it's produced by the kidneys to increases red blood cell count which will increase Hb and oxygen carrying capacity. They say that Test and Eq will increase red blood cell count but I think the dosage has to be high and long and would not do you well in a marathon race. Anyway, I'm not sure if EPO is really a steroid but that would greatly help you with your running!! Test or others will most likely stop any catabolism, but it will be hard to reall grow much while running like that...you would more or less stay the same. Make sure that you load up on amino acids and sip them throughout your runs to make sure that you do not break down muscle tissue!!!

EQ would prolly be the only good drug for long distance running.
EQ will get close to as good results in higher hemocrit levels that EPO is used for.
really there aren't many steroids for long distance slow paces crap.
Sprinting, and bodybuilding and face sports is about it.

I was always under the impression that Drol increases RBC counts. I would think that would help, but not like EPO----if you know Lance Armstrong and can get that shit.
Buena suerta. I also am looking to bump cardio ability.
For God's sake, say away from Tren !

I'm no expert, but from what I;ve read, you can go the "blood doping" route if you dont want to use EPO. EPO willl increase red blood cell count, and so will blood doping. You just take out some of your own blood, put in in test tubes, chuck it in a centrifuge, spin it so the RBC (red blood cells) go to the bottom and separate from the plasma, then some time before the event inject the concentrated RBC's into your bloodstream.
THis is probably very dangerous, as clotting can occur if RBC count is too high, but it has been done many, many times before by all sorts of endurance athletes. It is undetectable, as no drug is being used.
I don't think it is worth it unless you are a pro and have huge money riding on tiny improvements in performance. Just adding this for info.

Like the Beast said, you have to make a choice between bodybuilding or long-distance running. I normally float around 210 and ran a full marathon in october, down to 193 and SKINNY...it's one or the other. If your looking to increase your RBC's for running EQ will work, i'm on 600mg/wk and had to give blood to get my hematocrit(RBC count) down. For running purposes I'd say 300mg/week of EQ will up RBC's enough but not too much....don't want to overdo it. Officially I would not recommend using any AAS while training for anything over a 10k IMHO......Good Luck!
