I'm a Newbie...so drill me!
I'm sure I'll get nailed for not giving all the right info...but here it goes. I'm 29 years old...I weigh 265lbs...I am 5'10". I am on a very strict diet of high protein and low carbs. I've lost about 20lbs in the last 6 weeks on this diet. When I was a freshmen in college I was bench pressing about 450lbs.. I am at about 350 now. I want to get back to where I was and beyond. I am short and stocky....I want to capatilize on the stocky...I want to bulk up and get stronger. What do you suggest?

seriously though, if you are intending to bulk and increase strength, then carbs should be your best friend. low carbs is for cutting diets which sacrifices strength (and concentration). they can't be any carbs though. must be complex.

I've been in and out of the gym for the last 15 years...since I was a freshman in highschool. But I've just gotten really serious and back into it about 3 months ago. I've never taken anything before...so I have no cycle experience. Thanks for the comment about the carbs....but I only did that to drop some unwanted fat...which I did. I want bulk...I've got a good base, but I want to build on it.

Don't think I was really clear about the training. I am still active in sports...so I am in the gym 3 to 5 days a week doing strenght training and cardio work.

i understand that u dropped your carbs to lose that fat, however if you want strength and bulk, unfortunately you can't stay ripped.

now that doesn't mean put on as much fat as possible . but you can't be afraid to add up to 5% bf

strength requires it. you think powerlifters aren't shredded cause they like looking like shit? good fats build testosterone , and those witha healthy bf% to lean muscle ratio have a higher resting testosterone level.
you don't bulk up to 250lbs and say i want to look ripped at this weight. you would probably need to bulk up to 275lbs and then drop the fat which would take you back to 250lbs shredded. there are off seasons and on season diets for a reason

My daily diet of late has been...beef, pork, chicken, 100% whey protein powder and repeat. Agian I will say that I dropped all carbs to get rid of my gut. I figured that would be the best way to start. I know I've got to bring carbs back into my diet and I will...that's why I'm coming to ya'll. To help me get the right diet for what I want to achieve. Let me put it simply...I don't want to get shredded. I just don't have the body type..I think I'd look very odd if I was totally ripped. Have you ever seen those guys on "Worlds Strongest Man"? Thats more my body type and that is what I want to go for. Bulk and strength. Any diet and supplement tips would be great!

you can find this over an over on this forum, a general first cycle for anyone should be either...Test Enanthate or Cypionate , you will only need to inject it twice a week
Pick up about some Test E or Cyp and run it at 500mg/week, split up into 2 shots weekly of 250mg, for a total of 12 weeks.
at your age and with no previous cycles, you should react great to this cycle... putting on quality mass, strength increase, and loss of some body fat...of course this is all with proper diet & training...in addition, you will notice a significant increase in sex drive
have you considered hgh?

Thanks for the info...I'll run with that...speaking of sex drive....what would this do to a mans sperm count?

Like a few guys have said so far -
Check out the diet forum and make sure ya diet is in check,
Then when ya maxed out ya natural potential go for a test based course. Test is good cause its nice and simple, and only taking one product means you know the effect it has on you (as taking 2 might make it harder to figure out which one gives u any side effects)
Test e for the twice weekely injections works well.
Dont try anything stronger like tren yet, n stay away from deca to begin with (you will read on here deca should be done with some sort of test added), as deca (and tren) are nor-19s (look up test e, tren n deca in the profiles forum to see the difference and to know ya compunds) and they shut down ya natural production but dont replace ya main sex hormones. (which is what the test is 4)

thats kool - just some people on here really dont like even a slight hint.
homebrew is the way forward! much easier to get ya stuff together.

I do wish to know if my gains are realistic. I'm just still not sure exactly what to expect. If my ideal body is not realistic...then there is no need for me to seek gear...I'll just stick with creatine. But I think I have the proper base for what I want...but it's hard to decide....???

all depends on ya diet, ya training, and the way ya body reacts to it.
15lb of keepable muscle isnt un-realistic from one 10 week course. (thats what my first course left me with)
of course ya keepable gains are ganna be effected by how good ya PCT is.

My diet and my training are going to be determined by what research I do on this sight...and I've seen a ton of good stuff here. With the right diet and right weight program...I think I can get where I want to be. No...screw that...I know I can get where I want to be. I'll just try to help where I can...and ask "non jackass" questions......and do the best I can.

I've taken all the advice from this thread and am ready to start my cycle in about a week. I'm going to run 500MG of Test E for 12 weeks. I'm going to inject 250 twice a week. I just want to clear up one more aspect. Injections. What two days of the week do you suggest and where on my body to you suggest I inject. Keep in mind this is my first cycle. Suggestions?
