    domestic seizures

    Hi,

Are domestic seizures common? If a domestic package gets seized, how does it work? Do they send you a letter within month for you to reclaim the package? Does it work the same way as international seizures?

    Thanks

    Any help would be great

    Thanks guys.

I just ask because I ordered something domestic and it shipped 5 days ago and have not received anything yet. It is coming priority and usually takes 2 or 3 days. Perhaps, the holidays are delaying it but 5 days sounds like a lot. I am getting a bit concerned.

I wouldnt sweat it too much yet, as you said the holidays have things running slow. I had it take 8 days for a bill to arrive here, should have taken maybe 4 at most.

Pretty sure the answer is no, Unless there was something very suspiscous about the package like it was leaking fluid or had an odd odor. Postage employees have been trained to keep their eyes out for things like that. Noway in hell they have the money and resources to scan every package, heck they dont even come close on international packages. Its a numbers game.

Thanks bro for taking your time to reply.

I know the holidays may delay packages but every time I have ordered priority it has come not later than 3 days after it was shipped so it get uneasy. Oh, well, I guess I will have to wait. At least, I know the source is very experienced so it should be fine or so I hope. lol

Do they scan the majority of international packages? I'm from Australia, and i knw our customs are tough. But i thought our customs opened up every package 2 make sure theres no juice, seeds, plants etc in it. I've got something small on the way from overseas, but i think it'll get picked up at customs.. do u think my chances are good of getting it? Because i was thinking, after you wrote that, if they only open, say, 30% of packages, thats good odds for me getting my package.. right?

All I know is I keep reading about people from Australia having bad trouble getting things through. It is quite different here in the US. I do hear things are worse here on the West Coast. Still cant imagine that they inspect each and every package in Australia.

Bit hard 2 find a domestic source here in oz though. And it's 2 late for sayin not 2 order overseas, lol.. i'm bracing myself for a bombardment of seizure notices now.. 3 or 4 to b exact

Although, in an email, they said they were confident they could get the 100 Methanabol tabs into an envelope & get it threw Aus customs..

Because if it's in an envelope it won't get opened?? Or won't draw as much attention?? Not sure if thats right, but here's hoping!!

In the U.S. they are only allowed to search packages. They can search letters, but they consider it a waste of time, as there are more letters than pacakges, that is why I order my tabs in paper form. They fit neatly in an envelope.

There are a few reliable domestic labs in Oz that sell almost everything, so no need to risk ordering from o/s.

As far as US "domestic seizures" are concerned, if it goes USPS they need to have probable cause/a warrant to open your mail, so it is nearly 100% safe. OTOH, the private carriers can do as they wish (according to their posted rules), so they are less certain.
